  1. Good. We'll get delicious $90 pizzas, $100 parking spots, and Mrs. Jones' beautiful artwork throughout the stadium.
  2. I'm just gonna throw in that if you've ever encountered Ernie at a tailgate, he's definitely not one to accept the status quo or mediocrity. His standards of performance exceed most held by users on this board. He's not shy about it at all, either. I can see where the bad rap comes from, but I think he's being held guilty by association.
  3. Maybe there's some nepotism going on. But Ernie's three kids all won USGA championships. They seem to take this stuff seriously. Here's Will's dad, Trip Kuehne.
  4. Never made such claims, but you go on ahead believing that Todge was a coaching genius who found himself repeatedly in tough luck situations.
  5. On this particular issue, I can see inter-department university politics creating huge obstacles. On many other matters, perception or not, as the old adage goes, perception is reality.
  6. What was the unfortunate incident with the fan? I only know of the Ramon Flanigan incident.
  7. Final five games of 2010 under Chico -- Average points scored -- 33.8. Average points allowed -- 32.4. Offense exactly doubled, while defense got 17% worse.
  8. Somebody fill me in on who the DCs were for each season of the Dodge era: Average points given up per game, per season: 2007 -- 42.8 (Mendoza) 2008 -- 47.6 (DeLoach?) 2009 -- 35.6 2010 (through seven games) -- 27.7 See? It got better! We would've won! Oh, but wait mon cheri! There's more! Let's look at points scored per game: 2007 -- 26.7 2008 -- 20.2 2009 -- 26.6 2010 (through seven games) -- 16.9 You could've put the '85 Bears defense out there with Buddy Ryan as DC, and this staff would've found ways to lose.
  9. I know you work for the AD now, and I know how dedicated you are to both your craft and UNT athletics. Please know that I know that people like you working in the AD give me hope for the future.
  10. Honestly, I'm good with letting a small thing go here and there. But when there's a little thing every...single...fricking...time. Well, they add up. It got instilled in me early in the accounting career that even if you make a typo that is entirely inconsequential to the outcome of a return, it can still leave the customer with the perception that if you missed this little thing, what bigger things might you have missed?
  11. All six games are on Saturday? What is this wizardry?
  12. 14 minute mark: Relationships that have been built? I think there are a multitude of broken relationships that ain't getting mended with the same old same old meandering about the athletic department.

  14. McCarney took a horrible Dodge team and won five games. It could happen. Probably won't, but it could.
  15. Were we not there last year or during the horrific years of Southlake North?
  16. As long as nobody crosses streams, we're fine.
  17. I try to do as much online as I can because I've found that dealing with them on the phone just gets me transferred around the office in a virulent silo mentality "Not my job" environment. Of course, then the website didn't exactly work this year. I finally got it in time to be eligible for whatever prizes, and I keep redundant upon redundant paper trails of every dime I send because getting my money misappropriated once was enough.
  18. Screenshot from the email:
  19. So the bigger question -- does the TV money eventually dry up for the giants of college football too? What about the NFL when people get sick of paying a bajillion bucks a weekend for Sunday Ticket? What's the next big revenue stream? I do think college football tv goes before NFL tv goes though. I drive down my street on Sundays during football season and see twenty cars for every house. It's still a major event, so that'll be a while before it goes.
  20. You just don't get it, do you? We GOT ours! We got through school with virtually NO athletic fees, and now we're alumni with no responsibility to pay for the product that we want! Put it on the backs of students unilaterally! F 'em! Make 'em pay! For OUR wants!
  21. Sounds like a real sweetheart of a guy. This from March, 2015:
  22. I would really like to see more coach/fan fisticuffs in the stands. It doesn't violate any NCAA rules, gets publicity for the school, and presents a joint bad-ass image to potential recruits.
  23. Is it considerably more difficult to win in Pullman than Seattle? Back in the day, Washington was a pretty consistent Pac-10 powerhouse. Washington St. seems to ebb and flow. According to wiki, the answer is yes, it is more difficult to win in Pullman. Washington has 36 bowl appearances to Washington St.'s 12. I didn't realize they were that far apart.
