  1. I think I have less -s available to me now than before. What happened?
  2. I wish I had time to go back and find all the posters wanting RV to 'lock the gate' and hire Chico for HC, compare that to those whining about his play calling and demanding him be replaced already, find the matches, and send you all PM's that read 'Shut up.' I'm on record as taking the refusal to accept excuses stance but my frustrations don't include wanting our staff replaced. I believe we have a great staff in place and I'm fine letting them go through a few bumps along the way. I'm also fine with complaining through those bumps but those that wanted the man as HC 10 months ago and now want him fired need to do just as my ghost PM says.
  3. Did we 2006 Mavs parade this ALCS series by even asking about a possible change? I'm worried.
  4. I don't like trying to create a rivalry with SMU simply because there will never be a mutual respect. I think what makes a good rivalry is dislike AND respect. They will always view us as inferior and never a rival.
  5. Agreed. Tulsa would be a very nice rival. Doesn't have to be 'in state.'
  6. If we beat Ulala I think it goes a long way towards restoring our image in the Belt as a team to beat, creates excitement on campus of a possible coming bowl game, and gives the players confidence that we can win this thing. Huge game in my opinion.
  7. No real reason to even entertain the idea yet. Purely message board talk. But if message board talk gives you a hard silly willy why don't you visit the I'm just sayin' thread in the HOF forum and enjoy.
  8. Interesting.
  9. Where's the poster who told us someone on Florida States staff would be our next HC? We need his input.
  10. Will she represent on Basketball Wives?
  11. I'm hoping most on this board would choose UNT over the Rangers. Student/Casual fan attendance will be very low as it is because of all the events mentioned so we'll need our hard core fans to show up. The point of my original post was simply a fear that it may look ugly on Saturday.
  12. I thought about that option but then I wonder how strange that would be for the players. Right or wrong, I think the answer to this is yes.
  13. You are 100% correct here. I currently place a greater priority in the ALCS than a regular season Sunbelt game. I understand that may be wrong, but I'm just being honest. So do I have the right to worry about attendance? I guess not.
  14. I already have tickets to the NT game. So, my decision is NT game in person and Rangers game on TV. Maybe I'm a terrible fan for even debating it. Sorry. I guess I feel you're never promised a playoff run and should take advantage of it where as I know FAU will be back in Denton in two years.
  15. I'd argue that fans who've spent years watching this thing develop in Arlington are invested and have a personal connection.
  16. Ask yourself, 'who would you rather see win on Saturday?' My guess is most of us (fans of both teams) would prefer beating Verlander in game 1. So then I ask, if both were to win, which would I have rather seen live? Answer, Rangers. Those of you who don't care too much about the Rangers or MLB really have no place to comment on this. I'm speaking for those honestly torn over priorities Saturday night. Weekend ALCS games don't come around very often.
  17. Please don't blast me with -s but I fear we may be in for terrible attendance numbers on Saturday because of the Rangers game. They haven't announced the time yet but no doubt it will fall during the NT game. I know I'm already debating which event I'd rather see.
  18. I like what you've been doing here. Well done sir.
  19. They just don't know how to applaud your humor/opinions because theirs are supposed to be only important nuggets. Keep doing what you do. You do have fans.
  20. Coach Mac has the unfortunate responsibility of following the miserable experiment of TD. The patience we showed the previous 4 years has worn us all out and we have none left.
  21. Forgive me for the slight dig on our senior class. Those kids do work hard I'm sure and have had to sit through a miserable experience they didn't sign up for. I think my frustration level is just at an all-time high and I'm beginning to feel disinterest creep in. That worries me. I'll be missing the game this weekend because of a family reunion and sadly I'm not as upset as I should be.
  22. I agree with most of your post but this quote struck me as funny. Let's also, as members of the great Mean Green nation, remember our seniors win/loss record.
  23. I don't believe that one bit. I understand your frustration but you're just like the rest of us... addicted to the abuse. I'll see you next week.
