This. Heckling can be intelligent and funny or dumb and classless. The Rice band does such an intelligent job of heckling the offending party can hardly get mad because it's done so well. I think of that as an example of good heckling. Doing nothing but throwing foul language to the opposing team isn't heckling. To me, that's just trying to pick a fight with someone you know can't fight you. Pathetic. I haven't sat in the student section in years so I guess I'm not sure what it sounds like now but I trust we can find ways to use Apogee to our advantage AND represent ourselves in a positive manner.

Heckling from the student section is a must. It's part of the fun for the students. That's one reason the student section is purposefully placed behind their bench. Alumni are supposed to show class, not students. I loved it even at fouts when the opposing team would turn around and acknowledge us in some way because that just confirmed we were doing our job. Keep it going guys. The record is beginning to speak for itself. Any way we can get a home field advantage I'm all for it.

What about the spelling of U-N-T with your arms? Is that not part of it anymore. I don't see anyone doing that anymore. I don't have a problem with people not singing the fight song (I actually don't either). But I'd like everyone to join in 'U-N-T Eagles. Fight Fight Fight." I feel out of place when I do it. Sad.
