What does this have to do with 'cooler' and 'dorkier?' I'm probably as dorky as they come and I think we should join the WAC.

I was there too. What exactly were you proud of? The green wigs? The Obama mask? I do think our band sounded good, they always do. But they looked dumb. The other three schools kept a clean, professional look while our band members thought it was time to show the world their personality.

I think our fans have proven that nationally televised games don't mean they should represent the university well. I remember seeing one of our band members wearing a huge Obama mask at the NCAA tourney game this year. How embarrassing to watch the other schools look classy and put together and then see our band walk out wearing ugly green wigs and Obama masks like it was a halloween contest.

This is where I'm going to disagree with you Dumpsalot. I guess I just didn't see the point on an informal poll. But I don't think we need to gage interest by polling the average student.

Just because some of the teams in the WAC were in the Big West doesn't make it the exact same situation. For the record, I'm still unsure what to think of joining the WAC (you'd think with all this talk we'd actually been invited or something). So I enjoy reading everyone's pros and cons. I appreciate the thoughts of those who have supported this team for many years. But I also like to read what new fans think of our program and value their perspective. This thread, along with many others, does nothing but try to establish that only the opinions of the 'veterans' should be considered.

Not sure why Daddy Dumpsalot thinks it's dumb but I don't see the point in asking people to give yes or no answers on a message board. Why would I ask people 1. Do you want McDonalds for lunch? 2. Have you ever had a Big Mac? when I'm just trying to figure out if the Big Mac is good?

I think everyone admits that CUSA is the ideal place. That's not the arguement. What we're questioning is whether the WAC is better than the Belt.
