  1. please man, "Criticize in private and praise in public." You guys are always so negative.
  2. I see a lot of optimism on this board. Even 5 wins would be considered a huge improvement. But I remember telling myself last season not to get caught in the emotional trap again this year. Much like what the Mavs do to me, I can't get excited about this thing again. As hard as I'm trying to keep my emotions from getting the best of me this thread is making it difficult, however. Clemson - L Rice - L Army - L FAU - L ULL - L ASU - L FIU - W WKU - W Troy - L MUTS - L ULM - W Kstate - L Final Record: 3-9
  3. This thread hurts. And what hurts worst is that the question asks for games within the past decade. But most agree we could fill our list with games in the last 3 years. The Ohio game was very painful but I still say the Rice game 2008 was the most angry I've ever been at this thing. Only Joel Osteen was able to make me feel better about my life after that game.
  4. Nike wouldn't touch us with a 10 foot pole. So if it's UA or New Balance... give me UA.
  5. Add to it the weather conditions. Everyone just knew we were going to win that game and the rain would've just provided a great story. Instead, we were left packing up the tailgate in the rain following a miserable loss.
  6. I actually live in Lake Dallas and have met several neighbors this year who aren't from the metroplex. They think it's cool to have a D-1 program so close and I'm hoping to get a good amount of them to a game or two this year. Not to derail this thread into conference talk but when talking to these neighbors about attending games I found myself mentioning the Rice and K State games. Seems to be a lot easier to suggest taking in a K State game than inviting them to come watch U La La.
  7. This guy should at least do the pre-game video. That was so much better, and got me much more pumped up, than what we usually see before the kickoff.
  8. Trust me, I'm not defending Dumpsalot. I was less behind Dumpsalot's attitude and more just furiated with the way others seem to lord their contributions over him. I don't know what he can or can't afford. But if he comes to the games, whether it be season tickets, single game tickets, or even listening to the radio broadcasts, he's a supporter of the program in my book. Now, I will also add the phrase 'put your money where your mouth is.' Not used to lessen the percieved level of someone's support but to correctly justify their complaints.
  9. Can't we all just get along?
  10. I'm sorry if anything I've written was interpreted as me being upset with those who can and do contribute money. Of course I appreciate them. You guys give up certain things so you can give to your school. That takes some heart (and some understanding wives). I was simply trying to prove a point and clearly didn't do a good job. But thanks to Green Dozer's response for providing the perfect example.
  11. No crane needed. I have been freed. Your Death Therapy cured me, you genius!
  12. 1. No one suggested that wearing a sweatshirt and tailgating every home game was going to change our program. I was simply pointing out that not all of us can put 'program changing' money into this thing. But that doesn't make us the problem. The cheapest season ticket holders and even the single game ticket purchasers shouldn't be ridiculed because they don't give enough. Go talk to the thousands who don't even know we have a football team worth watching. 2. So the same guys that complain about UT sweatshirts on the NT campus are now telling people that simply wearing green instead or orange doesn't do any good? If all the orange/crimson/marroon sweatshirts on campus were colored green I think everyone on this board would gush over the student support.
  13. So that's why you guys are so interested in these seats? Starting to make sense...
  14. I'm just sayin'
  15. What? Are you serious? The attitude of guys like Dumpsalot isn't what's 'holding this program back.' Just because some alumni choose to spend their money elsewhere isn't the reason this program is where it is. Too many on this board feel that if you're not buying club level seating, joining the mean green club, or playing in the gmg bowl, you're the problem. If I choose to support the program by paying to get into the tailgating area and throwing tortillas in the parking lot the entire game, so be it.
  16. Don't we go into every season praising our recievers or talking about how great that group is going to be? Then about mid-season we realize that they can't seperate from the defense so screens and crossing patterns is all we can complete.
  17. Not to be a bully but... what exactly did you say? There is no way this is a must win. Those of you voting 'Yes' are crazy. The fact is it's a non-conference game. If we win the Belt no one cares about this game. If we win this game but get killed in the Belt... guess what, no one cares about this game.
  18. I've always preferred the whites.
  19. I'd like to know if those who hate our white unis like FSUs.
  20. because we need the money from the big payout games to offset our travel expenses when we join the WAC
  21. If we beat Clemson I can promise our turnout for the Rice game would be great. Just like last year for the Ohio game. Even through the rain we had a pretty good attendance.
  22. Why choose one when we will have them both? Of course we're going to win our opener, we always do (dating back to last year). The Fouts Finale is a given. Our guys will step it up playing in the final game of such a tradition rich stadium. And we make it to the New Orleans bowl when we go undefeated, right?
  23. Looks great Harry. Thanks.
  24. Can anyone explain to me how ours look like the aggie ring? Because I chose no stone in mine and have always had people ask me if I went to a&m.
