Re-read my comment. I said that my initial statement was too strong. I never said it was wrong.

After thinking last night about my initial statement I may have been too strongly predicting failure for our conference winning teams. I think each of those teams would've fought for a title and at least one of them could win it now. But it's not a guarantee like it was then.

Anyone who thinks those teams would easily win the current belt are delusional. Those were some good teams but the Belt has gotten a lot better.

Football only. Please keep that talk in the 'Still Mourning' forum. As far as 'deserved' do you mean was our team good enough then to win the belt now? If that's the question the answer is absolutely not.

Just feel that for some reason many who stay over here take it personal when basketball is slighted in the least. I'd like to open their minds to the world of honest criticism.

Great game. Tough loss. But in the end they had to hit two huge shots to win. If you told me before the game that they would need to make those two shots to win I'd have taken our chances.

I don't even like to talk like this yet but I don't see any way we're even a 16 seed if we were to win.

Can we not do this until tomorrow?

Emmitt, you make me laugh. If you are waiting for me to personally thank you for your service to the Mean Green or to our streets ... well, it's not going to happen anytime soon. But please, provide your list of reasons to devalue my opinions. And UNTFan23 - I haven't said a word about the program. Simply about those who get excited prematurely.

If I said I bring myself and three kids to every home game does that change your opinion of my opinion? Now, maybe if I were talking about the basketball being played on the court I'd see your point in dismissing my comments. But my lack of attendance does nothing to devalue my statements made.

I'm not trying to be a killjoy. Obviously, a win was better than a loss. But it can't be considered a big win because it's importance is dependent upon future games.

You seem to be easily offended by my unbiased view. And was it a 'big' win? If we lose tonight, I don't believe so. That game has little importance other than it gives us a chance to win an actual big game.

If we believe we're a growing program lets act like it. A big time win isn't one to get us into the Semi-finals of the conference tourney. Let's save the bodyguard talk to a performance to get us to the big dance or IN the big dance.
