  1. Everyone here hates Miller because he's an alum who bags on the school. I get it. But he isn't the sports moron you guys make him out to be. I actually enjoy listening to his Mavs perspective knowing he isn't a fan and is looking at it from a different vantage point. The same could be said about our program. Don't slot him as an ignorant weak member of the Musers but instead view him as the typical UNT alum who's opinion we need to understand better. Or not.
  2. Look, I'm not saying I hate the Cinderella. I just hate 4 Cinderellas meeting in the final 4.
  3. I appreciate the applause. I'm accepting of any new fans these days.
  4. Ok, every student/alumni of Butler should of course enjoy these runs. And of course, if UNT made a run like that I'd be super excited. I'm not even saying I liked UConn or UK in there either. Not trying to dog the mid major teams, just going through a 'good 'ol days' thing. I don't remember ripping on UNT basketball or saying anything worth all the hate you guys throw my direction. Just that I'd prefer to have the best players stay around a few years and being able to stomach college basketball again. Most of you need to understand that a message board is a place to post opinions and discuss. Not dog pile on someone who shares a different thought than you do.
  5. I guess I just have a hard time understanding how everyone doesn't feel that way. I like the occasional upset but when it becomes common place it loses it's luster. Plus, like Miller said, I enjoy seeing 5-6 future nba stars in the final four. Not 3-4 future nba role players.
  6. Pick a champion from the 90s/early 2000s. Have them play that Butler team 10 times. How many games does Butler win? 1 or 2 at the most.
  7. Craig is proving the point I was trying to make last week regarding the weak play in college basketball. Sure, everyone thinks it's fun to talk about VCU and Butler in the final four but no one wants to watch that garbage for the title game. UConn included, neither team deserved to be in that game if you were hoping to match up the two best teams in the country. If college players were forced to remain in school for at least 2 years (hopefully 3) I think we'd see the best teams rise to the top and the mid major run in the tourney more special. As it stands right now, it's so common it's not as special as it had been in the past.
  8. Thank you. If my wife knew how much time I spent on this message board she'd for sure think I'm dorkier than she already does. And if I wore a nametag...
  9. You forget who you're talking to. Provide Dumpsalot a link to google and he may get there.
  10. Prove it. Besides, maybe I've had a change of heart. What's it to you anyway? Go read the WAC boards.
  11. Maybe a digital nametag that can keep track of post count so we know whether or not we really need to talk to so and so?
  12. Thanks Brett. You always do such a great job covering this team for those of us who can't attend practice.
  13. ?
  14. i believe miner calling for a bit alert is his bit. don't fall for it.
  15. Wasn't the same without you. So, now that you've vacationed, what are your thoughts on the Sunbelt?
  16. Is this a poem? A prayer? A song? Whatever it is I think I like it.
  17. Really? Women's basketball talk? I'm out.
  18. So it's a google chrome thing and not a gmg.com thing?
  19. Bump
  20. Someone make it stop! The windmills have taken over!
  21. Practice? We talking bout practice?
  22. Goof grief. 'Best ever' was referring to the signing class, not the graduating class. I don't know of a group of high schoolers who've been thought of as highly ever coming in together. Of course we can't judge them as a graduating class because they haven't played yet.
  23. Good point. But we are in agreement. Great class. Best ever. Lets let them play a little before we put tons of pressure on them though.
