I think I'm coming around on the idea of sticking with UNT and putting that on our helmets. How many kids growing up even know what UCLA, USC, LSU, etc stand for? There isn't another UNT out there. Let's take advantage of that.

I don't see why everyone hates the North Texas on the helmet. I'd prefer to have the SOW but I can understand the point of having the name on there. When occasional highlights on national shows are shown of us or against us it's nice to have our name on there. At least right now when no one would recognize the SOW. Now, in 4 years when our basketball team has brought us attention and our football team is in bowl games again we may be ready to roll with the SOW.

We've ripped off chants/spirit ideas from other teams/schools before. Can't enjoy it as much when too many refuse to adopt it because it's not original. Now, edit your post and remove the part about it being used in San Antonio and I'm sure everyone will love it.

Count me as one who somehow thought the selection process was 'by hand.' Not sure how so many assumed that incorrectly. What exactly is the purpose of taking a half day off work to do a 'virtual selection?' I agree with JD, I was super excited not only about the selection but also the belief that this was going to be an experience like nothing I've done before. Instead, it's going to be the same process as my buying Tellatubbies on Ice tickets via Ticketmaster.

I've too thought about this but in a different way. I currently live in Denton and though we may not stay here forever, if we did I doubt my daughters would want to 'go off to college' in the same town their parents live in. So, do I need to move?
