  1. It's probably a good idea to tear it down and build a new hote...although I have ties to the existing one...child #2 conceived Feb. 16, 2002 between 11:23 PM and 11:26 PM give or take...
  2. impressive. Thanks for being the example we need to follow.
  3. great tailgating.....
  4. just voted GO PC!!!!!!!
  5. I'm new to this board this season and I would love to meet some of the members on this board. Where do you guys tailgate??? My wife and I are diehard Mean Green fans and we need to meet some more like-minded people.
  6. I wanted to say that I sincerely apologize to Flyer and all of those who worked so hard on this campaign...it was not even close to my place to try to spill the beans. I was so excited when I got off the phone with the news that I went immediately to the blog. Flyer, your work and updates on this blog were awesome and I sincerely thank you. RV...congrats and job well done.
  7. just sent Harry a message...
  8. I realize that my last topic was locked...cool...I can respect that it's not my place to break the news...but it's not a lie or a prank post...get your popcorn ready and start planning for your current season tickets to be renewed...
  9. from the most reliable source possible...a win tonight would complete the perfect scenario for today.....................YEAH YEAH YEAH CAW CAW It passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I believe this will pass but if it doesn't then RV and the administration will find another way. I have such tired-head from reading all the doom and gloom about our program. Yes if it does not pass we could have a setback but a solution for what we need to build this stadium will happen. Stay positive!!
  11. It's a good move to redshirt Riley even if he is being held out to mature. I remember too many threads complaining about him not being redshirted earlier this season.
  12. I bet Moses makes one hell of a offensive coordinator...he can 'part' the defense right down the middle...
  13. buy a 6 pack and pour one out for my homey, Fouts Field...
  14. Thank you for this comment. It helps to put things into perspective. Let's get off Dodge's back and let him work through this. He was served a shit sandwich when he started coaching here and unfortunately has to finish his plate before he can move on (and poop the poop). Let's give him time to digest...
  15. Thank you RV for what you have brought to this university. Since you came to UNT, we have improved in all sports and built a culture of winning. Yes, we currently have some challenges with our football team but we will turn this around. Your efforts and leadership will bring us to the level we need to be across the board so we can proudly claim to be the featured university in the north Texas area. Go Green!!
  16. do you gather in the Blue Lot? I have yet to meet hardly anyone from this board. We tailgate in the Blue Lot and I have a black F-150 with a MEAN GREEN Flag with a football on top of the pole if anyone needs a grill or beer. Love to meet any of you.
  17. your screen name is the best I've seen. I can't stop laughing! perfect description of me too. oh ya, I'm bringing the wife and kids too and we'll be tailgating early. GO MEAN GREEN!!!
  18. I took all of my kids to the game for the first time (they are very young...oldest 7, youngest infant) and had to leave at half time because I was afraid of what words might come out of my mouth in disgust. Later at home, my oldest daughter said..."Daddy, you damn a lot of things at the football game..." At first, I laughed but was a little embarrassed that I didn't restrain better in front of them. I guess watching the current performance of our team is a lesson in humility and a chance to "offer it up".
  19. Vizza is still the quarterback and it's his job to lose.
  20. Obviously there has been a lot of opinions and threads shared over the past couple of days about the issues we have. Granted we do indeed have issues. In 2 days we have a game at home that we can win. Dwelling on the negative isn't going to do any of us any good...especially if players are reading this blog. I have mentioned before that it's not always easy being a Mean Green fan...especially in difficult times. Nonetheless, we are still fans and need to focus on supporting our team that is on the field on Saturday. That is the team that we have right now and that is who we have to give our full support to. Who knows...a win Saturday might be just what we need to bring us back. We have to hope for that and get behind what we have right now...
  21. I just have to say thanks to the history lessons on this thread. I have been a huge Mean Green fan for many years but I'm not as 'experienced in life' as those that posted about the past. It truly does paint some perspective on what we have now. I graduated in 2002 and we have made many steps since even then. I'm all for educating the student body on what we used to have so that they can appreciate what we will have. Thanks again!
  22. I just wanted to say thanks to the peeps who set this event up tonight. While the results of the game were'nt exactly where we wanted them, the spirit and environment was great. I brought 4 of my kids and they had a blast and were chanting "go mean green, go mean green". We could only make it through the first half as bed time came up, but again, thanks to those who planned this evening. I wish I could have met more of you but there's always next time. It was a great turnout!! Go Mean Green!!!
  23. very possible on being there if kids are welcome
