Congrats to Coach Canales on a job well done. I hope he stays. Welcome Coach Mac, we (alum and fans) are behind you to get this program winning again. Thanks to RV and the administration for stepping up and growing our program. Good times are ahead for UNT. Can't wait for next season.

unfortunately I agree with this. I wish it was 70% UNT fans...hopefully I'm proven wrong. My wife and 6 kids will be there along with about 10 other family and friends. Go UNT!

what team in the last few years that have played in the Pit, that we have beaten, would you recommend that is more important...I can't think of any. we play in the sunbelt and many of the prior non conference games were much lesser teams than Tech.

Can we please get a new PA system...those speakers are blown and sound like crap. No bass at all. maybe they just need to add a sub woofer to give the music some balls.

The Defense rebounds from Troy. UNT 38 MTSU 18 "Lock the Gate" will have had 3 games under its belt and there's no looking back.

As I was walking to the home side from tailgating, we passed T. Dodge. He was walking toward the visiting side although I have no idea where he sat. I'm sure it's very hard for him to be there as a professional given the situation...but easy as a father. In passing I said "hey coach"...he very politely replied, "hey guys, ya'll doing alright?". I hope to see him at more games. As it's been said many times on this board, he is a class act.

It would be great to get him. I just don't know if we have the money he would require.

I think we were right next to you guys. I've only met a few of you but our group had the trailer hitch grill. My friend's kids liked the elder gentleman..."who's your daddy?" it was a great day for tailgating.

I'm excited for Coach Chico to carry us the rest of the season. His passion is already transferring to the players and good things are happening. Next week is a huge test with Troy. Let's all get out to Fouts to support this TEAM!!!!!! Congrats Mean Green on a very well played and coached football game today.

I have to say that I enjoyed yesterday's college football watching. At no point was I on the edge of my seat watching the Mean Green possibly win or lose. The Mean Green Nation had a full week already with what happened Wednesday and the buzz of a new coaching search. WKU kicked the crap out of LaLa yesterday. We have our hands full next week. Thanks to the bi-week and the new excitement for a coaching search, I'm re-energized to cheer for the Mean Green and coach Chico. OUR TEAM WILL EVER FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT! Let's beat WKU!!

It's not always easy being a Mean Green fan, but it's worth it. It's easy to be a Longhorn fan or a Sooner fan...SADLY for many who attended North Texas. The degree in my office is from UNT and that's who I root for. Season tickets and Mean Green Club regardless of who coaches the football team. Our support goes to the whole school...not just one sport. LET'S GIVE A CHEER FOR U OF NT!

I have been a Dodge fan from the start and I still am. I am here to say that I want to win so if a new coach is the answer, then fine by me. Would a new coach right now make the most sense? I understand that from a recruiting point, you would like to have as much time as you can get with a new regime. If TD is let go, who fills his shoes for the rest of this season...Canalas? Maybe so...does he stay on as the new head coach or just in the interim? It would make sense to make the switch now if he is going to be the guy from here on out. If he is not, then I struggle to find the reason to let TD go right now. I mean, we're freakin 1-6. Hopefully we can finish the season 2-10 or by miracle 3-9. I don't know if switching coaches right now REALLY improves our chances of winning games this year. Again, if Canalas is the guy and he keeps most of the staff intact, then I see the reasoning. If not, then why not let the current crew finish the year and clean house after the season is over? Thoughts?

Our clan left with 3 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter. I hated to leave too but we made the decision to save money on the babysitter rather than sit in misery for a whole 2nd half. At least the tailgating was good and the weather was awesome (a little breezy at times trying to light the grill)

Football is only one sport under a very successful athletic program. Yes, I realize that football is king here in Texas and the largest revenue producing program...but blaming RV for the outcome of football games is funny. Yes, TD did not work out...RV already addressed this at the beginning of the season and I believe he'll keep his word and remove the coach given the outcome so far this season. Blaming RV for the wins and losses is the wrong place...we know it's coaching and there is a change coming.

Maybe ignorance is bliss, but I'm pretty pumped to have Baine. I felt the same for Thompson's short time because I really didn't know anything about him. I'm hopeful that Chase is the dark horse no one expected and will lead us to a win(s). He's been waiting in the wings ready for his shot and here it is. He could be the breath of fresh air this program needs right now. Go Green!!
