just wanted to share that good vibes about the Mean Green are not just here in North Texas. My bride and I went to southern California last week for our 10 year anniversary. I proudly wore mostly UNT gear (did go to a Rangers/Angels game so had Rangers stuff then) and I had a few good conversations from some of the locals about what's going on here. They actually approached me and asked about Coach Mac and the new stadium. I was a little blown away that they knew about all that so I made sure they weren't people from Texas on vacation like us. He said nope, we're just college football fans from LA. One guy did say his daughter was considering UNT for their music program and he had heard about the donations that just went down. It was cool to be on the beach talking UNT football.

have there been any details released about the watching party at the new stadium? can we sit on the field? bring our own food and drink? any info appreciated...thanks.

Harry, great post and thanks for the review. I wanted to go so badly but had prior commitments. My wife did go to the Ladies Clinic and had a blast. She's a sports nerd (like me) so she soaked it all up. I was down in Keller and had several conversations with people about the stadium. The cool thing was is that they brought it up. I simply mentioned that I was ready for college football and several said, "Ya, I really want to see that new stadium up in Denton." They didn't even know I was a UNT alum so that made me feel really excited. GO MEAN GREEN

he lives down the street from my family. no, we don't have a house like his I've seen him mowing his lawn a couple of times and walking around unicorn lake. Fortunately he is out in the community around there...unfortuantely he was shirtless. But hey, who cares right. Go MEAN GREEN!!!

I usually check out for a while between basketball season and late summer...so if this has been discussed before, my apologies. I picked up a schedule magnet yesterday for the upcoming season. 'Rub Some Green On It'...is that really our slogan for next season??? My first reaction was a good chuckle and then thoughts of baby poop. (I have a 11 month old so fresh on the brain) anyone else think this is a strange slogan?

I respect the fact that TCU is really good and had a great season. I just can't root for them or SMU in anything. However, I hope we can build a program with success like theirs.

That would be awesome. Would we have to go ahead and expand our stadium to 50k for something like that to happen? And get baseball up and running?

I was unable to make the game for my daughter's school Christmas concert. I watched it on NTTV in the 2nd half and from that camera shot at half court...it was all green (empty seats). I know that the center is the press boxes but to the left and right it was very bare. I do give props to the Pit Crew once again for making noise and being there. All in all, another solid win for the Mean Green!
