  1. Tony was acting like a little baby last night plain and simple. His attitude was infectious. If every player stepped up and played like Roger Franklin, we would be posting about a win. He's the player to watch and he played his guts out last night. This new system is different than JJ's. Johnny left us, he wasn't fired. Any new coach is going to bring in a new system that will take some time to get used to in game situations... Not just practice. I am not totally pumped that Benford subs so much without establishing a rhythm, but calling for his head or RV's after 7 games is hilarious. Kudos for Benford for benching TM for violating rules. He needs to take his pacifier out and try to play like Roger
  2. I like that Middle Tenn is going to be in CUSA. We kind of had a rivalry with them over the last decade. I love the potential west division of CUSA...can't wait for those games in football and basketball. and baseball in 10 years from now
  3. That is really hard to find on this board unfortunately
  4. I am a fan of this post!
  5. With all respect, I'm not sure what clock you are referring to? How have we run out of time? Because we are moving conferences?
  6. Do you honestly think that when Mac came here he would be able to land 4 and 5 star players??? No...no star player in their right mind would have come to North Texas after what Dodge left. I think he got what he could have from what he was able to get. Next year's class looks good and a lot of redshirt freshman will be able to play.
  7. Yep, best therapy is going to tonights game at the Pit. Beat Cameron!
  8. totally agree. This program has needed this kind of leadership from the head coach for a long time.
  9. Good post Harry. It amazes me that some on here have already called for Benford's head...and also RV's (who has no role in the outcome of a basketball game at all) on a silver platter after 2 losses. unbelievable.
  10. Damn, I was planning on doing a trip like this to Monroe as well but can't now due to a schedule conflict. Sounds fun...have a blast!
  11. Not my kid but darn cute. Kudos to his parents
  12. ha, gee, never heard that one before . i created a blog www.weknowwhatcausesthis.com
  13. I would rather them not do the chant to save the embarrassment of SOME of the students who ruin it with F bomb. Totally classless and disrespectful. All my kids, ages 11, 10, 9, 7, 5, and 2 know and sing the fight song all the time. On Fridays during football season and on game days during basketball season, we sing it on the way to school. We go to almost all the basketball games as a family and it scares me that the whole version of the song will be sung. I really don't want to have to explain to my 5 year old daughter (much less my 11 year old daughter) what the student section is yelling out.
  14. TEXAS!!!
  15. what's on your menu today? going to be a beautiful day and perfect for some tailgating. We're having grilled chicken legs, Fisher's smoked sausage and smoked cheese, homemade 7 layer dip and chips, and whatever else people bring to our site. Oh ya, beer and a little captian and coke. Go Mean Green!!
  16. how did it go? good crowd?
  17. Just want the team to show up on the field. That is all
  18. Good post Harry. I don't take your analysis as excuses. We have had a culture of losing for almost a decade which will take time to correct. We are 6-3 at home, in front of our students and alumni, since Mac took over against our CURRENT peer group of teams...from Houston to Texas Southern. I don't reaslistically believe that LSU and KSU are peers right now. Do I want them to be?...you bet. I believe we are changing the culture at home and have the chance to pick up 2 more wins this season at Apogee. Taking that winning culture on the road is obviously a huge challenge for this team to overcome. Reducing the bodybag games will help since we never host those type of games. Every conference game, in the Sun Belt or CUSA, should be a winnable game...at home or on the road. Bottom line, we have to play better and I think we will as more Mac recruits get on to the field.
  19. I'm not sure of the point of this post... What do we gain from this?
  20. and....we did win with DD's offense...with a great defense We'll get there with a little time and more DMac recruits
  21. Next week Arky state comes to town. We play pretty well at home at Apogee. 4-2 last season and 2-1 so far this year. We have a chance to win. Obviously we have to play better than today but it's possible. Plus, we get to tailgate again. We could actually win back to back in the next 2 weeks with both of them being home games. Tonight's game really hurt all of us as fans, but not compared to how the team feels. I believe they will bounce back and play solid at home next Saturday. Hope to see you there ready to do our part to help get another win at Apogee.
  22. thanks. missed the first play on espn3
  23. did they make the trip?
