I sold my kids on the hopes that they will be on national TV dressed in costumes in the stands. So far, no defectors... Now, will we make it past halftime with the little ones...doubtful but hopeful

They had the cheerleaders on the video board which helped get awareness out. At rangers games, the visor board says "upper deck 'Texas' then "lower deck 'Rangers'". Same thing should be done with north texas and left side, right side. Then the words go mean green flash to end it

just remembering the last time we played MTSU at home...very rainy night and we destroyed them. For a win like that, I'll take the rain!

We'll have 6 in our group. What worries me are the fans that think that cheering against our team will help. The behavior from a group of fans sitting behind us was really embarrassing during the Ball State game. I have never figured out how yelling for the coaches to get fired or for DT to get benched inspires the team to improve. I get being passionate, but they should have sat in the Ball State section if all they were doing was yelling against our team. When we came back and won...radio silence from them. Didn't hear a peep of Good Job Mac, or "Great Game DT"... They made the experience for fans around them extremely uncomfortable. If I were a casual fan, I don't think I would like to come back to that environment. My 9 year old son couldn't figure out why they were cheering against UNT wearing green gear. Hopefully every play is played to perfection, there are zero incompletions, and every single tackle is made on Saturday to keep them cheering in a positive way.

Our defense was stellar tonight. Way too many penalties all around.

24-20 UNT. This game will be close. We haven't played well at all on the road, but this team will find a way to win. They didn't against Ohio and don't want to repeat that. I hope we get the ball first and score to make a statement.

nice post. agreed...and I'll add (and it's been brought up on other threads)...our special teams play is awesome right now. Really love the new Special Teams coach. His energy is infectious.

Good post Harry. There were some fans on the alum side sitting behind us that were constantly yelling against Thompson during the first half. Constantly yelling for Williams to get in. Yelling for Mac to be fired. Sarcastically yelling "Why Not North Texas" because that's what Mac said when he was hired. It was pathetic and embarrassing. Look, I get being a passionate fan...and I get that it's frustrating at times seeing mistakes and sloppy football. But it wasn't necessary to hear all that and explain to my 9 and 7 year old sons why those fans were cheering AGAINST our own team. It was sweet though when Thompson kept kicking ass and the defense stepped up...didn't hear a peep after that. It seemed they were upset that Thompson did awesome and we won...I guess it's easier to be negative and yell as loud as you can to tear someone else down. I for one was very frustrated too during the first half...first quarter especially, but realized that it doesn't do anyone any good to scream negative remarks to our own team.
