ASU is not a strong team by any means, we lost because we have a HC defensive coordinator with his generic playbook and also the worst defense north of the equator....

Im going to go to the game to tailgate and watch our final game of the season.... I wasnt looking forward to this game at all. If we lose to a Div. 2 program because of our defense, Mendoza will be shown the door on Monday morning. This and every Sun Belt game at Fouts is not really intersting to watch, but it's still Mean green football.

We draw big crowds for named opponents, guaranteed We don't have a attendance problem at UNT in BBall or Fball.... It is the crappy and no name teams that have been ruining our athletic program. We would be a excellent fit for CUSA, as they need a good bball team to fit into their conference. With good attendance and a promising top 25 team nearby a shitty CUSA member, SMU...... Can they ignore us for much longer, can they afford to..... Come out and support the basketball program and let's do it big, our team really gets into a loud and proud crowd to play in front of. The better and better our basketball team become the more and more pressures will be added on Dodge and the Football team to get better quicker. Looks like Basketball and not Football will make North Texas the " Team of the Metroplex"

Actually that isn't such a bad idea, I mean he has proven he can hold teams under or near 70 points or less. Heck let's let him coach the Arky st. game, we could actually see some improvement in Defense....

I have never seen one of our visiting teams stay the entire time in their sections and participate throughout the game and especially in the end of game performance by their band..... TRADITIONS.........

The most embarrasing thing I have ever heard about the Mean Green in the media occured this past Saturday night. I was watching Sportscenter recap the crazy college football games of the day and the UNT/Navy game popped up, I wasn't embarrassed by the score or loss, but by what coach Paul Johnson said about the NT after game. " The North Texas football squad put up 62 points against us and they still couldn't win the game". WOW..... Also there is also today's DRC sports headline. "UNT defense is the worst and it's not even close": "Oklahoma hung 79 points on the Mean Green. Arkansas bashed UNT for 66, and now Navy goes off for 74. And don’t forget, the Midshipmen kneeled on the ball at the end of the night at UNT’s 11-yard line to kill the clock". Whoa If Todd Dodge doesn't make adjustment's in the Defensive coaching staff at year's end, I will lose all respect for him as a coach here at UNT. I hope that Coach Dodge realizes that in Division I College Football, you should always put your team first above any friendships or partnerships that you might have with your assistants.

I have been super busy this semester and havent posted much on the board, I've been reading the major post but not posting or replying much on the board. I had to make time to say this: The Navy fans and Navy members were some of the best fans we have ever hosted here at Fouts Field.... What a great set of guys and girls who are so polite, respectful, and having the best manners I have ever seen in college football fans..... I went to the Fouts bathrooms during the 3rd quarter and I saw a lone Navy officer who came up to several Green Brigade members and thanked and congratulated them on their performance. Personally for some reason, I have always had the most respect for Navy officers as opposed to other branches of the military. But I really hope we can host these guys again. Also very classy on our football teams part to stand for Navy's end of the game perofrmance, as Navy returned the favor for us as they stood with the Mean Green for our's.... Unbelievable game, all I am going to say is, the Offense did a remarkable job against a bowl team, especially the Vizza, Offensive Line and our receivers. Our Defense is REMARKABLY AWFUL, this is an embarrassment considering that our school has always been known for having a great defense's.

Why would NORTH TEXAS be included in any talks to be in included in CUSA We had a real chance to be included but we blew it because our facilities were not up to par with other schools They told us to prepare for another chance and we still are not up to par with our facilites, and adding new programs Trust me, Troy and Arkansas State look very good to CUSA right now to be new members of that conference, especially Troy Troy will be the number one candidate to be included in any CUSA-East vacancy.

Man I wish that hurricane comes this way. Alot of people don't know that it is very rare to have a storm much less a hurricane in the atlantic now, hurricane season ended on Nov.1 but we had a hurricane in december back in 2005. Noel is a nice name for a hurricane since it's close to christmas.....

Plumm, you make good points in your post....but unfortunately there is still alot of racism that is conducted today, mostly by educated college students. I hear more racial slurs by my fraternity than ever did by uneducated people I see on a day to day basis.... It's sad.

Don't think this season can get any worst...... Coaches, Players, and now the race card of all things are in question.. Let's hope this goes away quickly before the major news networks take hold of this and things really get out of hand. The sooner this goes away the better, we can finish the season out and work on recruiting which I think took alot of major blows because of our current record and now this mess...Which I think might get worst as more players are coming out Let's hope the truth comes and out and we move on...

I think this whole thing blew out of proportion, and is really tiring and overplayed. Maybe the coach was ill-judge in his comments but I don't think UNT is a racist school.... SMU on the other hand...

I hope he spends more time with his playbooks than with slutty girls.....

After last season's letdown, probably as far away from UNT as possible....

You have got to be kidding me The Super Bowl in London, ha.... What's next Cowboys training camp in Bora Bora, Afganistan........Jerry Jones is stupid enough to do it too.....ha Nothing against people from Afganistan or surrounding regions as I am not a racist.
