NT has some hot hot hot girls....so that wouldnt be too hard to imagine.

Dont see us beating any of the teams on the schedule.....Troy Arky State, LA LA.... If western kentucky held Virginia tech at their home to two touchdowns and it was a close game..... Let's hope the stadium vote passes and we can find a replacement for Dodge before signing day....

My Sister Hadn't Been To A Game In Years
UNT_playmaker replied to UNTLifer's topic in Mean Green Football
Is your sister available to be an assistant coach this year?????? Your sister seems to have a good grasp of what is going on with our football team this year, and yes it is true that the team's performance is worst than last season's. -
Attendance Predictions For Next Week
UNT_playmaker replied to oldguystudent's topic in Mean Green Football
It's family weekend for the La-La game so alot of unsuspecting families will see our failing experiment of having a collegiate team coached by a HS coach and assistants. Attendance= 13,742 We had nearly 30 put up against us in halftime by FIU, a team that has only 3 wins ever, and two of them were against our team...... Score= Louisana 52 North Texas 14 If you dont want to come to the game, at least come to tailgate and BBQ..... -
The above post is wrong on so many levels..... In the 4th quarter I went to the lovely restrooms at Fouts and people were telling one another it was going to be a long season and I thought to myself that those people were probably not coming back for the remainder of the season. Attendance will be down sharply throughout the season.

You Guys Aren't The Only Ones Feeling Bad Right Now...
UNT_playmaker replied to NOCajun's topic in Mean Green Football
If yall's team just shows up they are guaranted a win. But you dont need to worry your team will do just fine this week Good Luck on the rest of yall's season, SBC is wide open this year.... -
Well thanks for the update from Kentucky, it is intersting how Western Kentucky has been following our program. I doon't believe we are the worst Div 1 football in history as we have won 4 straight conference championships, but we were the worst Div 1 last year and this year as well. I don't think this year has anything to do with Darrell Dickey and im starting to think last year didnt have anything to do with him either. WKU will beat UNT this season, it sucks too because those guys were jerk-offs against us last year.

An effective AD would not tolerate any coach or coaches for much longer, while they are ranked #119 out of #119 in Division I football.
-
Worst team in division I football, yes.... at #119 But NT's true ranking is in the 150's or 160's in relation to all football teams in America. FIU in my eyes is a Div 2 team that just made the jump to Div 1..... I wish the Western Kentucky games was being played again at Fouts, because it will be an intersting game...Western Kentucky will look for revenge and the win.....at home.

How Would The 02 And 03 Teams Fair In Today's Sun Belt?
UNT_playmaker replied to calvin's topic in Mean Green Football
The 02 and 03 teams would have done very well.... This also includes Dickey being the coach.... -
We play FIU on Oct. 4 and then play ULL on Oct. 11....If things don't go our way in both of these games or we incur a blowout loss than this would be a big blow to our efforts to attract the moderate non-athletics supporting students to vote pro-stadium. It is very important to keep in mind that these next two games can weigh heavy on the upcoming vote. The students who will come into the games at Fouts in the next two weeks could allow the team's performance and the final score at halftime, I say halftime, because everyone leaves Fouts after halftime to affect their vote and support for the football program.... Let's make sure we take everything into consideration and get this vote to pass so we can get started on a new stadium ASAP.

The Current Similarities Between 2001 And 2008
UNT_playmaker replied to UNT_playmaker's topic in Mean Green Football
Booger Kennedy is greatly missed on this defense without a doubt. Hope the Mean Green can turn it around Saturday and win all the SBC games.... -
Did Anyone Else Know That Dickey Was Once The A&m Oc
UNT_playmaker replied to UNT_playmaker's topic in Mean Green Football
Thanks Quoner for bursting my bubble on the story... Why do I now feel depressed that Dickey wasnt a OC at A&M -
R V: Dodge Will Get Things Turned Around
UNT_playmaker replied to NT80's topic in Mean Green Football
Let's see how fast he turns those comments around after Saturday night if we lose against FIU at FOUTS.... Nightmare season gets worst.... -
I was shocked to hear that Dickey was once a OC at A&M, didnt know if anyone else knew that... I knew that he was once a OC at SMU , just thought that it was pretty cool and look forward to tell friends that UNT's ex-coach was once a Big 12 OC..... Nice.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darrell_Dickey

I find this game against FIU quite similar to the game Dickey lead us into against MTSU on homecoming 2001. Dickey was basically told that if he lost he would be fired because the new AD wouldnt tolerate losing anymore. The rest is history as Dickey pulled the HUGE upset and beat then undefeated SBC contender MSTU (5-0) at Fouts. Dodge faces the lowly FIU Panthers who many have already written off such as UNT. I dont know what Dodge's job security is in RV's eyes right now but I know that RV is more eager to have a winning coach now more than ever, especially with the new stadium on the way. Dodge faces a similiar path of going winless into a very important SBC game against FIU with alot of people expecting his team to shape up and win against a team I believe could be the only beatable team in the SBC this year. The similarities of those games have been weighing heavily in my mind this week and wanted to see if any others have sensed the comparison.
-
I forgot that we were 2-2 under Dickey's tenure this time two years ago.... That is kinda of impressive... I miss the Dickey OOC games they were so unpredictable... ha ha Man I would love to play SMU again and get a win at Fouts.... I've said it before but if we had Dickey we would have beaten SMU last year without a doubt.... I'll take an SMU win anytime and anywhere.....
-
Jaydub, just give me a call, and I can pick you up from the airport dude...I assume you still have my number... right??? PM me if you don't.... Glad you are going to be able to make it out to the game....
-
No way man..... We are playing and possibly losing to FIU. No comparison. Just watch college football on t.v.
-
Have not seen anything to prove to me that NT has a decent chance to pull this one out, but hope that they can find a way. FIU- 38 NT- 21

If Dodge is 0-12 after this season, he will be shown the door, most likely by the AD or admins

You know I have always followed the Mean Green since I was in elementary school in Denton and I have seen or heard about of alot of horrid games and performances by the North Texas Eagles or the Mean Green at the hands of several teams. I remember when Dennis Parker was the coach we lost bad to Nebraska and Dodge's first game which was an early indicator of things to come against Oklahoma, but Rice, a private school of 2,000 people, who was one of the worst teams in the nation not too long ago had its very own rout against us. I mean seriously we were down nearly 80 points and they surely could have tapped over 100 points as we were down 77-20 in the 3rd quarter. It has occured everal times this season, where we have almost nearly 100 points or more scored on us and no production out of the offense. The SBC is the strongest I have ever seen it, so I hope this isnt true but we have a very good chance of going 0-12 for the season. ULL, FIU, Troy, Ark St have all played their OOC with consistencies and confidence and almost came up with big upsets and some good wins. I think the program is already experiencing some of the hardest times it has ever faced and will continue to do so for the remainder of the season. Are there any old timers who have followed the program before I did that think that this is the worst season of NT football thus far?
-
The vote will go through and pass, huge support from students and greeks on campus. I have a friend who is in the student senate and he is resigning the day after the stadium vote so that he can ensure everything goes as planned. SGA will probably override the vote if need be. They are going to get this done, finally.

A $60 Million Football Stadium= Only 32,000 Seats
UNT_playmaker replied to UNT_playmaker's topic in Mean Green Football

A $60 Million Football Stadium= Only 32,000 Seats
UNT_playmaker replied to UNT_playmaker's topic in Mean Green Football
If we get the student's fees raised then there will finally be money to play with plus what we already have. We can attract another donor to get the seat amount right where we need it. We are forunate that we have Eagle Point, we have the capacity and land to build our dreams on that piece of land. Do it right and save tons of money in the long run. It wont cost all that extra to put in a few thousands seats onto what you already have.
