  1. A failed stadium vote and a continuation of the 0-6 season thus far and UNT athletics will take a huge blow....And the college of arts and science will get their wish and be one BIG step closer to football being dropped at UNT
  2. This stadium when passed and BUILT has alot to do with student, alumni and fan support..... I give NO CREDIT to the Athletic Department and also NT adminstration.... Several of the NO supporters who I approached told me that they werent voting YES because the atheltic department and UNT adminstration failed miserably in trying raise money for a new stadium for years and years. Because of NT supporters pressure, they brought up the athletic fee vote to students to fund the stadium because of the failures of the fundraising for the New Stadium... I couldnt argue my point to any of them because they were correct, I was able to persuade them to not vote, period.... If you think about it, it is kinda pathetic that we couldnt raise enough money to break ground or start the project.
  3. The no voters should be dragged off campus and given a brochure for UTA.
  4. I just came back from campus and was able to get 5 yes votes and persuaded 4 people to not cast NO votes, which are just as good as YES votes. Also got several people to send out mass texts to students to remind to vote if they hadn't already.... I hope this thing passes....Spent alot of time getting people to vote to YES
  5. I sure hope it is a YES vote..
  6. I talked with the SGA office today, I tried to get several people to vote today but they still were not able to do so online. SGA said anyone who still has problems should vote in person in the union, as the problem will not get fixed this week. I asked if they could fax in there student ID and have a ballot sent through fax and they said they could cast their ballot via fax. SGA office (940) 565-3850 Vote by Fax (940) 565-4446 So in person or by fax let's get a huge YES turnout for the last day on Friday.
  7. Wow it should be a close vote, it could go either way..... Guys we need to start recruiting more people to vote.... Lets do it.....
  8. Typical Good hearted people of TEXAS. http://gmy.news.yahoo.com/v/10223306
  9. Joe Biden seems like a cool guy to hang out and tailgate with....
  10. Jeff Bower from Southern Miss sounds good as well as the defensive coordinator from Kansas.... Deloach is also a good choice.... Rv might give Dodge another year, its a possibility he gets fired or stays on another year.
  11. RV was in his first year on the job when Dickey went 0-5 in the season and threatened his job security, it was reported that if Dickey lost the Homecoming game against Troy that RV was ready to part ways with Dickey, the rest was history. RV expected better and was eager to make a change at that time. As of now, RV still expects better but it depends how eager he is to make a change at the Head Coaching position.
  12. What a douche-bag.....
  13. I had a friend of mine who tried to vote but couldnt as well as an international student, all YES votes of course. I called the SGA office in reference to the matter and they said alot people could log in but couldnt vote. SGA is aware of the problem and it will be corrected on Weds morning....
  14. I heard that Gretchen Bataille gets her way in reference to the athletic department..... But she doesnt have a clue about whats goes in football... So RV is still the person who does the hiring and firing. We have six games left, which is half the season, alot can happen in that time. We can be 6-6 or 0-12.... 0-12 seems like the possibility....
  15. Dodge had alot more to offer than Dickey did when back in 98. New stadium in 2010, a sustained athletic budget, and a much better recruiting class. If TD goes winless, like I have said before, the athletic director will probably let TD go at the end of the season. Especially if the athletic fee vote passes..... A second year coach having a winless season is catastrophic for a rebuilding team. Think we wont go winless, we still haven't come within 30 points against any of our opponents.
  16. He always wanted to be a Cowboy.... A great Texas Longhorn WR and hopefully will be a great Cowboys WR Push up Terrell Owens meltdown date by at least 2 weeks.
  17. He was really overrated and his performance was not all that good on the field. He needed a 4 member security team wherever he went in Dallas to prevent problems, please..... Jerry please cut him now....
  18. The bottom 10 has always be very lenient towards UNT, wish the NT daily could take the same lead.
  19. Expect Dallas to lose a couple in that month's time..... Brad Johnson is a statue in the backfield, but Romo moves around. Not looking forward to this at all.
  20. Good Job Mean Green Fans..... Let's get the right information out there..... This new stadium will enormous for us and our program, so lets continue the great work.....
  21. In 1952, North Texas built a 15,000 seat multi-purpose field used for track, field, football, and other sports. http://www.unt.edu/northtexan/images/s03fouts2.gif http://www.unt.edu/northtexan/images/s03fouts3.jpg A multi-purpose field built in the early 1950's is not adequate enough to support a D-I football program for a school of over 35,000 students, soon to soar to over 45,000 in the coming years. There is no argument against these facts. Vote Early and Vote Often....
  22. A winless 2008 season for our football stadium is not terrible it is catastrophic for team that is trying to rebuild. The effects being this: Harder to recruit quality players, fan base suffers, and we might lose the stadium vote because of these blowout losses.......
  23. Im currently an active of Delta Sigma Phi and we have all of our pledges and actives voting YES!!!!!!!! I talked with RV a few weeks back and told them to expect a high turnout from fraternities and sororities to vote YES as well, as we all should..... RV waled through our tailgating tent last week and talked to our frat among the others to rally support, he already has all of the greeks in support.
  24. If the stadium vote passes, I am definately up for tearing down Fouts Field if more people are intersted in joining me.... If we got the vote, we might as well not waste anytime in destroying FOUTS....
