The play happen with two minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter. Felt bad Zach Thomas didnt get the TD, he is one of the hardest working players on the Cowboys squad in every game he plays in.

So who wants to be one of the first people to call Coach Dickey on Monday morning to ask him politely to come back at his old stint at NORTH TEXAS. I wish I was kidding but I am not....Seriously who else with Div. 1 college football experience will coach for the amount of money that we pay head coaches at NT. Really!!!! Dodge is going to be here for a third year. How much more can our football program withstand with him at the helm. Do you really mean to tell me Dodge will turn it around next season. With the same special teams coach and playbook? We cant afford another dismal performance season for the sake of recruting, fan base, donors, and attendance. Please RV reconsider, bring in a experienced college coach, Like Major Applewhite The Todd Dodge Experiment was a failure and will be used for years to come by other AD in hiring HS coaches to Div 1 programs.

I posted this a few days ago and am shocked at the response level. I just wanted to post this so I can say the word "bone" in the thread subject.... For anyone who didnt catch it I say bone instead of whoppee...

I personally talked to RV on the phone in Sept about increasing the stadium capacity and he said that if CUSA continued to shun us and we built up our facilities that maybe MWC could give us a look. Remember this was in Sept and the week before the tulsa game meltdown. I personally dont think in any way we would get invited into any other Div 1 conference in the U.S. But with all kidding aside TCU and NT would look good in the same conference. Ultimate blow in the face to SM----who?

Wow what took so long. I guess the WAC will have more openings..... RV said NT was working to try to get into the MWC but I dont think that will be happening anytime soon.

Can we get Ramon to write up a positive article about North Texas football.....as a matter of fact can anyone write a positive article about our season thus far

I hate SMU plain and simple What I liked was Ramon saying that he was a Pony Fan true and true . but he sure did manage a huge blow to his alma mater when we played them at Fouts a few years back. ha ha Thank you Ramon for providing us for our last OOC win and our only win to SMU in the past two decades... I am so grateful....

I will be there with my grill and coolers. I look forward to this game for two reasons: Tailgating of course and the end of the worst season this program has ever seen.

Wasn't not winning ENOUGH OOC games the main reason UNT and the fans booted Dickey out of his job. We would win at least one OOC game each season compared to ????????...

Why do we always play the defending NCAA football champs to start the new year....I mean seriously... Also Todd Dodge can keep his job next season, if he can win at least one OOC game next year.....Dont see it happening

Thanks for your posts Lonnie... There are not enough Mean Green fans holding the football program responsible for these lackluster seasons. We cant afford to give Dodge and company two more seasons. This program cannot sustain another losing season. Each head football coach's salary should be performance based.

My number pick to replace Dickey was Butch Davis, former cowboys defensive coach.

Its because it was a rival game and also the much hyped game of the year, the crowd atmosphere was similiar to that of the NMSU game at Fouts for the Conference Championship. Dickey should have been given one more year, no more no less. Dickey found a better and bigger donor than the AD. Now when is it the coach's job to bring in donors, its the AD's job.

Dickey would have won the SMU game of last season. He had a Dickey win written all over it.... An SMU win is the most important win of the season.

You know what Brett Vito is telling the real truth about our football program. It depressing at best but its has truth to it. Green Dozer, I know you and others are trying to be positive about the program because you are true fan but you can't ignore what's happening, we are 0-5 in conference, in the Sun Belt for crying out loud. We have some serious problems and I believe as well as others that Dodge wont be the coach who will make us BCS contenders, thats actually what people on the board said when was hired. Vito is pointing out that there wont be much to looked for to in this offseason, Dodge had some great recruits come in here and we haven't seen the promised results. As of current, how do you think North Texas looks to a HS recuit right now or a person looking into the program, the lowest it has in years.....We wont get the recruits we have gotten in previous years based on the past two seasons under our new coach. You can come to expect a lackluster recruiting class based on the results of the past two years of Coach Dodge, the hire was a complete bust and our program has suffered as a result.

Good Analysis Emmitt... I was thinking about alot of the scenarios you played out.... I do think that Tech will fall to OU in Norman.... Also I think USC is alot better than what people give them credit for.

Dickey was a much better COLLEGE Football Coach than Dodge. But Dodge is a much better HIGH SCHOOL Football coach than Dickey.

Wow how North Texas has fallen......
