Thanks And Good Luck To Vizza
UNT_playmaker replied to The Fake Lonnie Finch's topic in Mean Green Football
Yeah as I said earlier. Vizza was a great recruit and I really pleased with his decision to give NT a shot. It was my favorite recruit in the past few years. I am disappointed that I wont get to see him mature and continue his career at NT. But failure does not lie on Vizza shoulders put the people who misled him that a Stadium was going to built by 2010 ( RV) and Dodge who was in over his head in becoming a college football coach at NT. Vizza's departure is the end result and an embarrasment is left in our corner, our starting qb is leaving to go play for probably SFA or SHSU. At least he isn't going to SMU, right??? That is the only positive we can tell ourselves. -
We will see the negative effects of the Dodge hire on this program for years to come, even after he gets the boot....

Breaking News -- Vizza To Transfer
UNT_playmaker replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
In all seriousness no bad feelings should go towards Vizza about his decision. I really excited when Vizza chose to come to our school. I give him credit for staying on for these past two years. Good Luck to him and others who have tried with this program. Even with the season over and things couldn't get any worse and still disappointment is always still there in the off-season. -

Wow says alot when a Division 1 starting qb wants to go to a lower division to play for different team.... What has happened to our mean green football program.

http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/dws/...10.e8e89ec.html Pretty interesting read....Isn't amazing that any team that can beat the Cowboys in the regualr season or in the playoffs (i.e. Giants last year ) has enough momentum and confidence to just breeze through the playoffs... Also it was mentioned by former Cowboy Clint Harris that the team has never been hated so much in the franchise's history as they are hated now, commenting on how loud the boos were during the Cowboys-Ravens debacle at the farewell game at Texas Stadium.

Take baylor out immediately and put the University of North Texas in their place. Make things interesting.

Whoa!....tcu's Patterson Get's $1.7 Million Base Sala
UNT_playmaker replied to FirefightnRick's topic in Mean Green Football
Yeah very good insight.... I would love to host one bowl game at our new football stadium... It would be great and I think UNT would do a great job overseeing it. The Golden Triangle Bowl or the Cattle Bowl, I dont know or the GoGreen Bowl.... -

Missouri Drops Home And Home With Smu
UNT_playmaker replied to The Fake Lonnie Finch's topic in Mean Green Football
That's what happens to crappy teams, BCS teams pulls games from underneath them.....No sympathy for Smu, as usual.... Also I was thinkin about the K-State game, I also wouldnt be suprised if Snyder pulls out as well, I always thought the K-state game was setup for the marquee game in our new stadium for 2010, but that wont be happening because of piss poor planning on our school's part. -
Wow that was a great game. Texas and Ohio State both played really well.... I thought all along that Texas deserved to be in the BCS national title game instead of OU, which they beat by 2 possessions and double-digits, but the BCS has a very short memory or attention span. Can you believe how great of a playoff we could have had if there was 8 or even 16 of these teams teamed up. Then we could crown a real champion.

I went to the athletic office two months back to pick up BB schedules for myself and friends and I also came across the new 4 page stadium info brochure. It says that stadium ground-breaking might take place as early as this summer. This is what I am praying for. It would really awesome if this was our last season at Fouts and we opened play in Fall 2010.

Great Post..... Rv most likely had a hand in some assistant coaches being let go. TD wasnt going to do it himself. I also think that dodge will be given the boot sometime in mid-season and unlike Dickey will not be coaching the last few games he has left. Because of the possibility of Dodge seeking to make a statement and having his players go out in SLC jerseys, oh wait that has already occured..... If RV holds onto his prize coaching pick past new year, he will be looking for another job with dodge and both of their new jobs will not have anything to do with any college.

Congratulations To The National Champions..utah Utes.

I agree with you... NT or any similiar school should be rewarded for their success. -
Unt's Next Head Coach Has To Be Black
UNT_playmaker replied to MeanGreenZen's topic in Mean Green Football
Thank you If we are even lucky to get a new AD, a truly legitimate background in fundraising is so very crucial for what we want to accomplish here at UNT. RV was the district manager of several Domino's Pizza joints in the Southeast, can we please strive for a better background than that for an Athletic Director. The RV hire has been a major bust in the finance and fundraising department. Dickey did a better job finding donors than he did and it seems that even Dodge has to take on the job of fining donors for his own football program. -

Super Bowl Champs

I also think it could be Indy and Philly in the big show -
I was thinking the same thing too..... Why would Denver fire him and also so abrubt. They must think they can get a great coach in there to do much better. Also what is all this talk about Cowher, he is a good coach but not a superstar. ESPN reported yesterday that what happened in Denver could have huge ripple effects going all the way to Dallas and Washington.
