Dude, This isn't 2002. They are a middle of the pack Big 12 team and definetly not a good, let alone very good, BCS team. Tulsa drove OU mad a couple of weeks ago and I wouldn't be surprised it OU handles them rather easily. They were 4-7 last year and will scrap to be 6-5 this year.

That says more about the conference than his coaching (or lack thereof).

Meager is 2-3 for 7 yards and has been sacked 2 times for a loss of 21 yards in the 2nd half. There have been 4 rushes for 22 yards. There has been one offensive penalty for 5 yards. This is the second half for UNT through the 10:00 to go mark of the 4th quarter. A gross of 8 yards and a net of 3. 9 total plays. 5 of the 9 were called passes. I was going to come on here and ask why we weren't throwing more in a blowout game just to get Meager some reps, but after seeing that...it isn't worth it. Neither is it worth wondering why we haven't seen Phillips either.

If you have an offer from a Duke, UNC, UConn, etc. you WILL HAVE AN OFFER FROM TECH AND TEXAS. The smaller schools, in or out of Texas, are not going to go after you unless they are planning on cheating (more than the others do). Your argument is worthless.

When we scored that basket with 3.2 left and WKU called timeout, my friend asked what I would do. I told him WKU should go for the a 3 and the win and we should foul the player who gets the inbound. It sounds crazy, but if they miss one (and our guys do the job by blocking out) we win. If they make both, then we have a chance to do what they did, and at worst we go to overtime...and being the home team, we would have had the advantage. They wanted no part of OT. Alas, we allow thier best player (last night) to get off a not too contested shot from much closer then he should have been allowed and give up two leads that should have be too much for anyone to come back from. She is the type of coach that we should want out of all of our coaches. And, as one who spent a year at UTA, if the Mavs can get a coach like that, UNT should be able to do better.

DD has 4 straight titles in the worst 1A conference in America. He won't go anywhere because he A) can't have an easier fan base to please and B ) won't get an offer for anything more than a lateral move. Slinker has zero titles and should no longer be at UNT...IMO. And just so we are clear, in the last four years, DD has: 2004 - 7-5, 0-5 OOC 2003 - 9-4, 1-4 2002 - 8-5, 2-5 2001 - 5-7, 0-6 That totals a record of: 29-21, 3-20 a winning percentage of: .580, .130 That has landed him 4 Coach of the Year awards and a contract extension through about 2010. His teams continue to be undisciplined and looks completely unprepared in OOC games. One of the 3 OOC wins was against a AA team and one of the losses was to a "tweener." There has been around 20 vacancies this off-season and DD has been a (known) candidate for ZERO of them. It was known he was up for ONE last season...Idaho. It would be obtuse for me to say DD has not helped this program...but it would be just as bad for me to think he has done great things too.

No. The people that want Dickey gone because of his OOC failures...which would include bowl games, but it is more so the 65-0 thrashings and 20-13 losses to AA and similar teams. Because the team has no discipline. Because he has nothing in the stables when everyone and their dog knows all the starters will be gone the next season. Sanger was -2 in the turnover column, tried to ran a GHS style offense, and abandoned their pass( ). You can't expect to win when you do that. You'll love this Aaron: After a G'ville TD, they were offside on the kick, which we muffed and they recovered. Back it up 5 and kick it...out of bounds. So, instead of taking the ball at the 35, our suddenly brain dead coaches mark it off 5 more yards and have G'ville kick it again from the 30. (I didn't know you could do that...I thought you had to take it 30 yards from the kicking spot, espeically when there was a penalty on the first try.) Well, the kicker, this time from the 30, boots it 9 yards deep in the the endzone, giving Sanger the ball at the 20. Give the kid an offer now! Gainsville didn't have to respect the pass, so they pinned their ears back and brought it every play...sound familiar? Oh, crap. [slaps hand] The officiating was horrible, but it did not affect the outcome, and helped us out if anything. And the clotheslining of our WR just so you could stand over a motionless body and yell smack reminded me of why I hate Gainesville.

It is sad to see such an exciting season go down, but we had meaningful games in September for the first time since 1999. Who, other than T. R. Sullivan, thought that would happen? I was one of the 100+ losses idiots. The chapter ends. Here's to next year!!
