The lateness of this thread signals a lack of interest. That's sad, but not as sad as my prediction: FIU 38 UNT 17

Dom may be slightly better than Josh, but all you have to do is look at the assist-to-turnover ratio to realize that neither are what anyone would consider a true 1. That, and I have seen both with my own eyes, and niether passed that test. If anything is going to hurt this team in league play, it will be the lack of a true point.

Such a capitalistic point of view for a hippie. -
Yes, we can. I don't think Dom is much more of a point than Josh, but having Josh's offensive abilities coming off the bench would be interesting.
-
I think we may see Shorter/Thomas and Thompson start at times this season, with Dom coming off the bench. I especially expect to see this when the opposing team has size at the 2. Of course, I think Dom and Josh shouldn't be on the floor at the same time against a big 2, but that's just me. Looking around at the other exhibitions, it seems coaches do a lot of experimenting during these types of games, which causes the team not to play even close to their best game. I wasn't there last night, and couldn't get the "free" Premium feed to work. Did this appear to be the scenerio last night?

How dare you quote such an obvious right wing rag like the Wall Street journal! It is sooooo obvious that they are just spinning this to suit their political purposes. So what that there is an increease of 69% in capital gains tax? All those rich people don't deserve that money, anyway. They should just take it and give it to the poor. It's only the right thing to do. Jimmy Carter was the greatest President this county has ever known! -
Kanye West V Taylor Swift
UNT90 replied to UNT90's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
http://www.tvguide.com/News/Taylor-Swift-C...ss=breakingnews Looks like that Kanye thing was quite the coup for her publicity manager. She walks away with Entertainer of the Year while opening concerts for bigger acts. I've seen her live, fairly average (I took my neice, OK!). On the results as a whole, just another reason that Nashville continues to lose the Texas market to local artists. Pretty much every singer who won an award is more pop than country. -
Obvoiusly not, or the Army would have done something about this guy long before the shootings occurred. Stupid trying to argue that congress didn't declare "war", but only a "military action". That's kinda what war is. But, I guess that depends on what the definition of is, is. Congress would make the same "Military action" declaration if we decided to drop an A-bomb on someone. That's just the way things are done today. The word "war" is just so politically incorrect.

Thanks. And that video does have value. Just no value in the last 30 minutes. Hopefully, that changes soon.

Not a rivals subscriber. Anyone care to do a paraphrase?

THe problem is they are not getting better, but getting worse. I would feel a lot better if we started the season playing as we did against ULM and were now playing as we did against Ohio. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Young, talented teams get better with experience, this one has gotten worse. Doesn't it bother you to lose by 27 points when we are favored to win the game? To me, that makes it even worse. What does the line matter when you are getting blown out? What if we lose 35-3 this week? Will you feel better because we were only a 2 point dog? I know we are all looking for something positive for the remaining portion of the year, but, to me, being favored and then having your rear end handed to you, at home, is NOT positive. I, too, remain proud of UNT and see better days ahead, just not as close as I thought they would be after the 1st 2 games of the year.

Yep, Chevy already has enough of my money, thanks to the federal govt. Ya, I know in the big picture it is probably around a dollar (no, I didn't do the math), but I'll just choose to take my business elsewhere, and did last December. Plus, the fact that GM had to take the bailout shows that they are poorly managed, and, now with Pres. Obama as their defacto CEO, I doubt that they make it through this recession. They might, but I decided not to take that gamble. Did you see where Ford just turned a 1 billion dollar profit? Yes, this is inflated by the topic of this thread, but they would have turned a profit without the bailout. GM? No. I want a vehicle whose parent company is assured to be around throughout the warranty, that's why I bought a Ford.

So you expected no responses?? That is the point of a rhetorical question, no? On a message board?? Not buying it. Go to the radio show and ask it respectfully. I'm sure I could probably give you his answer. Here goes: "We are all disappointed in the lack of improvement in the win column, coaches and players alike. Everyone associated with this program is dedicated to turning this thing around. Am I happy that it is taking this long? Of course not. Am I doing everything I can to effect a positive change? You better believe it. I'll continue to do everything in my power until we all see the results that so many of us expect and so many of you deserve." Good enough?

I Hope Todd Dodge Can Learn Intensity At A D1 Level

Now I feel we are on the same page. I'll leave it up to RV to make coaching change decisions, but if he does decide to make one, I hope he hires a OC or DC from a big six conference school and lets the new coach choose his own staff, with the one requirement being that no high school coaches are allowed. Don't give me the "those coaches would never come here" speech. There are only 120 of these jobs in America. The type of coach I want would jump at the challenge of being The Man and turning this thing around. I know, premature. -
Alumni pressure. Specifically, big donor pressure, is likely what dropped the hammer. Interesting that WKU played their rear ends off last week against Troy (21-20 at the half). I wonder if the players were told before the game.

Dodge and RV talk about what they are doing to improve facilities. Dickey was just basically "woe is me, our facilities suck, we can't win with this junk" without working toward a solution. Maybe he was working his tail off behind the scenes, but when the majority of your fans just hear or read these type of quotes, you come off looking like a crybaby, which was my impression of him during his entire tenure. What is so frustrating about the lack of success on the field is that Dodge has been a success in every other aspect of the program (PR, increased ticket sales). Of course, that won't last if you don't win, and he hasn't. TFLF, we agree on a lot of things, but when you rip Dodge for 8 paragraphs, then talk about how much ULM's defense has improved in a year under a new DC, and follow that up with the innoculous "I'm also not defending Deloach anymore", it kinda reeks of an agenda. This defense has been terrible, TERRIBLE, for the last three years, 2 of which were under Deloach, and this is the strongest statement you can make about the DC? No one on this staff is getting it done. Period. -

Actually, this should be considered Dodge's best year. 2 wins over D1A competition v 1 win over D1A in year one. And there are still 3 games left.

This is what is so frustrating. Dodge is everything Dickey wasn't off the field: positive, accessible, well liked by high school players and coaches.. I really was hoping for at least a .500 season and a good recruiting class to prove that Coach Dodge could do it at this level. Unfortunately, we are still waiting on him to win. We can't wait forever, or even another 2 years, for that matter. We need to start seeing some results. -
http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/vivanashv...saturday-night/ Gee, poor Taylor Swift. Kanye West was sooooooo mean to her that she now gets to host SLN. Would have never happened until the "incident". She just didn't have a big enough name. She does now. I'm sure the whole thing wasn't just staged. Media = suckers

Blowout losses would indicate that the team has quite, which should not bode well for the coach. This would indicate that he has lost the team. The reason I say this is because, looking at mutual competition, we should be competitive with every team left on our schedule, including Army, who beat Ball St. by 7 and needed all 4 quarters to do it. But, this team doesn't appear to be the same team that we saw against Bll St. and Ohio. Using this logic, we are only 1 point away from Troy, who beat WKU by only 20 on Saturday, and WKU is 4 points better than us, since we lost to Troy by 24. We are about where I thought we would be in my preseason predictions.. We are far from where I thought we would be after our first 2 games.
