  1. Would really like to see a convincing win with a low number of TOs
  2. Yep. No Gobal warming = no research funding = University has to pay for research into a problem that doesn't exit = These "scientist" have no job. Always follow the money. No mind, though. The press will continue to push global warming and people will continue to buy it. Why? Every person, and people as a society, like to think that they have a lasting influence on something, anything, that makes their existence significant. Therefore, if they can believe in global warming, and, even better, believe that they have a hand in solving "the problem" of global warming, then they feel that they have "made a difference". Human nature. Hell, everyone wants to think they are more important than they really are in the grand scheme of things. Just look at some of the posts on this board. Or this post.
  3. ASU - Not interested UNT - Less Interested
  4. Good Lord, even Vito is into the whole Dodge v Deloach thing. So friggin stupid!!!!
  5. Pre-knee surgery, probably the fastest-best athlete on the team. Post kneee surgery...????
  6. I actually have a friend who is a huge Sooner fan and told me shortly after the transfer that the book on Stradford was great speed and athleticism, but pretty bad hands. Time will tell.
  7. This is a stupid thread...but, Deloach has been here 2 years. He is responsible for the 505 given up in 2008. No excuses on either side of the ball or special teams.
  8. Misleading thread title. Vito does not predict this. Stop calling attention to yourself
  9. I don't think anyone on here, no matter how emotional they are after this loss, is going to stop supporting and cheering for UNT. Just because some do not support the head coach does not mean that they don't support the players and appreciate their effort. Two totally different ballgames. I'm sure some would say that by not supporting Dodge, they ARE supporting the players by trying to give them the best oportunity to be successful. You got to admit, the evidence so far suggests that this coaching staff has not put the kids in the best position to be successful on the field.
  10. When I saw this statement, my initial thought was "why would you publicly say something like this when you are still going to have to recruit IF you keep your job." I know we only have a few commitments, but why risk losing those with that kind of statement? I wonder if goals were set in the meeting after last season that have not been met. That may be why TD seems so down after the last couple of games. If he does go, it is just a shame that this didn't work out. TD appears to have the right priorities for his players, has been a great "face of the program", promoting UNT at every turn. Hell, he even looks like a football coach. If only the wins would have come.
  11. I was thinking more along the lines of only playing three quarters.
  12. Ok. Ok. I get it. Too soon.
  13. A team that has had a very disappointing year. Played Iowa close (but, who hasn't) only to fold like a cheap tent in conference play. Now, for the last game of the season, their senior QB, Corey Lenoard, is out with an injury. With him, I think they would of hung half a hundred on this defense. Without him?? Which team decides to pack it in before the game? Thoughts??
  14. I would rather he showed another emotion besides defeat in the post game interview. Maybe it's just not his personality, but a little "this is not acceptable - they need to stop listening to their pretty little girlfriends (We ain't Tech) - I'm pissed and there are going to be some changes until we find a combination that works" sure would be good to see. He just seems to have very little fight left.
  15. My friend told me that it was UNT fans that switched sides after the blocked kick. It struck him as funny. It was upper "deck" on the aisle between sec D and sec E on the south side. I was already gone by this point.
  16. http://www.hulu.com/watch/110317/saturday-...china-cold-open Sad, but true. When Pop Culture turns on your legislation, you are pretty much done.
  17. I am pretty sure that the shoulder seperation was on the non-throwing shoulder. Riley has been bad on the deep ball all year. Remember the floater he threw over the head of a wide open receiver that would have been an easy TD against Ball St.? It's nothing against Riley. I love his leadership abilities, speed, and athleticism and would love to see him in widcat sets, but he just doesn't have the arm strength to play QB at this level. Slot receiver with the occasional wildcat appearance is how I would use him.
  18. Agree with ever word that you said. I shoulda included that even if you don't think it will be successful, you have to continue to try to open up the vertical passing game... oh wait, we don't have one. But, yes, you are exactly right. Ignoring what you have done successfully in every other win this year is unforgivable.
  19. Not disrespecting your win for meltdown of the week, but I think that one clear winner is being ignored by Quoner. That would be the same person that had a lot to do with the new building going up across the street. Quoner, you should really review the posts. I think Flyer is hands down the winner of the award this week, and rightly so. He darn sure ought to win something on the weekend of the groundbreaking. Flyer, I know exactly how you feel.
  20. Yes, there were 8, sometimes 9, defenders in the box the ENTIRE game. Army run blitzed on just about every play. Running Dunbar up the middle probably would not have been very successful. That said, you have to get the best offensive weapon on your team touches. If TD or TF doesn't know that every team is going to load the box and run blitz on every play (except WKU, for some magical, glorious, yet unknown reason), then they should be fired on the spot. That is how everyone in conference play (save WKU) has defended us. If you know this, you have got to scheme to get Dunbar the ball in some other way, be it receiving or even a sweep or option. Really disappointing that the BEST weapon you have on offense, the guy that has consistently made plays for you all year WITHOUT turning over the ball, has miniscule touches in this game. What makes everyone here think Dunbar won't transfer if Dodge stays?? I understand he showed disappointment in his role after the game, and he has more that proven that he is a quality D1A running back. He just finished his redshirt freshman year. What makes everyone think that he, or any other of the RS freshmen talent, wouldn't tranfer to another program if they felt Dodge couldn't get it done? I only ask this question because every says we can't let TD go or else RD will transfer. Did you ever consider the other side of that coin?
  21. That depends on the coach that you hire.
