  1. Littrell said at the fan meeting that the best players will play. Period. And in direct response to a question about Fine. Not one swinging D on here knows how well Fine or Morris will handle live game action. Being mobile is going to be huge this year. I think we see second and maybe even third team QBs start 2-4 games this year due to injury. If Fine wins the 2nd team job, he will play this year. Whether you like it or not.
  2. And you have a legitimate FBS AD. UNT hasn't had one for at least 19 years. We hopefully get one on 8/22.
  3. I believe practice is closed after the first 2 weeks? Does this also apply to scrimmages?
  4. Scouting McClain I would assume? Best chance since Zach Orr to break the draft drought?
  5. Only 7 rounds. I think the NFL has forgotten that UNT plays football.
  6. Don't you mean UNT-Dallas grads? This law school isn't associated with UNT-Denton... Should have bought TWU law when UNT had the opportunity. Again, shortsightedness has cursed this university.
  7. Proof, mofos!
  8. But in all seriousness, congrats to Zach for doing what we all believed he was capable of doing. Great kid from a great family. It'll be interesting to see if Nick and Chris join him in the NFL in a few years. That wouldn't surprise me one bit.
  9. Hell, most of this fan base would be giddy with one OOC home game a year if that home game was SMU every year. Its the most emotionally abused fan base in college football with the unquestionably lowest self-esteem. Those two things go hand in hand, after all. Many still think CUSA is the conference of choice. THAT'S how little self initiative this fan base has been beaten into having. And, of course, your post is dead on.
  10. How dare you, sir!! I am actually right. He just thinks he is...
  11. Don't you get it? I'm right all the time! Only blue ribbons for me, mofos!!!!!!!!11!!!!1!!1
  12. I told you mofos he would be a starter by year 3 when he signed as a free agent. Look it up. Its hard being consistently right about everything... #mystruggle
  13. I don't necessarily disagree, but our situation is also different from Boise and TCU. UNT is faced with having to legitimize UNT's football program with UNT alumni and students, many who view it as a joke. That's where we differ from Boise or TCU. Playing a recognizable P5 at Apogee, win or lose, sends the message to alumni that you are serious about football for a change. Especially if you beat them. I have zero problem cutting out the whore games and am hopeful that a real FBS AD will remedy the need for such through hard work and intelligence, something lacking in the last AD.
  14. Ask TCU. They will tell you about it. Ask Boise St. They will tell you about it. Small time thinking will keep this program small time. Stop leading the charge. Of course I'm not talking about this year. I am talking about 3 or 4 years out. Always have been. If you believe in Littrell, you shouldn't have a problem with this. So why are you arguing when you agree with me?
  15. No. Beating 1-11 Indiana did nothing for UNT. Recognizable P5 locally (preferably a Big 12 P5) that is at least mid pack in their conference. Beating Kansas at Apogee doesn't do much more for UNT than beating SMU. Ok St., Texas Tech, K St., Iowa St. are all good options. From the SEC, Miss. St., Ole Miss would be good. This should be the mindset. Challenge your program to get competitive. Losing by 40 sucks, be it at home or on the road. There is a far greater chance of keeping games closer at home and potentially winning against P5s than there is on the road. And Good God does this program need a defining win against a team that matters.
  16. And if it were up to you, RV would still be here and would retire from UNT in another 5 years. So who is really worse?
  17. Let's recap what has happened. TFLF set out to do research to prove his point that P5s schedules were as locked up as UNTs for the foreseeable future. TFLF found his hypothesis to be untrue. So instead of just saying "hey, I was wrong. They aren't scheduled as far out as UNT," TFLF shifted gears and narratives to explain, according to his own wild assed opinions, why P5s wouldn't schedule a home game with UNT. And he started 2 seperate threads to do so. With the first 5 posts in this thread being his "explanations." Seems to me admitting you were wrong would have been a whole lot easier.
  18. One practice. We don't know anything yet.
  19. If Fine is BETTER than Morris I want him on the field yesterday. See USM.
  20. We all hope you are right.
  21. Useless poll when you can only pick one. Every conference listed is better than CUSA. So I'd vote for every single one.
  22. Rah rah rah sis boom bah.
  23. Which one of the 26k are you talking about? Be specific, man...
