Yes, if you are giving $20k the the MGC, a huge jump in price per seat doesn't necessarily affect you, as you can just balance it out inside your donation. However, for those who have purchased these seats as an investment and have to live on a budget, a huge price increase at the exact time when they can just right this off as a loss will cause more than a few to do so. They have basically dropped a large, mandatory increase on those paying the minimal level for seats in the mid level and top level club seats. They also more than doubled the cost of seats (or the mean green club level donation) for those at the lowest level who hold 4 or more seats. And they did it after the worst season in UNT football history. But please, feel free to put your usual spin on it. For the non-club seat holders, the way it used to work was you pad a certain MGC donation level to be able to purchase club seats. For instance, if you wanted to purchase 2 club seats at the lowest level (20-goal line each side), it used to require a minimum MGC donation of $500 plus ticket prices for the season (another $750). UNT changed the MGC level donation requirement to a per seat level. For the lowest level, it's $300 per seat. So, if you own 2 club seats, it's only a $100 a year raise. But if you own 4 seats and were contributing the $500 minimum, your minimum just went to $1200. Now, at the next level the minimum donation was $1000 MGC donation, I believe (someone without an agenda please feel free to post the correct amount). But let's just say for a second it was $1000 and say UNT placed the per seat price at $600 per seat. A person who owned 4 seats would now have his donation requirement increased from $1000 to $2400. So when KRAM says this wasn't a proce increase to club seat holders, he is doing the normal KRAM spin. Look, everyone knew the prices would eventually go up, but don't serve me a sh1+ product and then try to charge me double for it. It's bad business. But that was what the former AD was best at, wasn't it.

It's money out of pocket of club seat holders. Parse it any way you want to, but that is an increase. It isn't a decrease for anyone unless they donate a large sum of money to the MGC. It's a huge increase for those that have purchased the most expensive club seats, pricing people out of their seats. And done after the worst season in UNT history. Incredibly stupid.

You have no idea if Morris is an FBS level QB. He has thrown exactly 1 pass in live FBS action. You lose credibility by making this statement. For all we know, Fine is a better QB right now than Morris. I'm not saying that is the case, but neither has proved one damn thing on a college football field. Any QB recruit with talent will be signed. Reaching for an undersized Fine and giving him his only FBS offer shows that. That won't stop for the next 3 years, no matter if Fine becomes a 1st team CUSA QB this year. The one thing you got right is that there were zero FBS QBs on this roster when Littrell took over. Any talented QB recruit will be welcomed with open arms.

Thompson is going to say what any competitor would say : "I wanted to play!" But he was an 18 year old kid, and 18 year olds don't get to make that decision. It was the last 2 drives of the last game of a dismal season with UNT down 9 and going nowhere. Down 2 scores with 3 minutes left in the game and you burn a redshirt. Stupid and selfish of Dodge. What people don't remember is the poor roster management that led to the decision. Dodge took just 2 QBs with him to Jonesboro for that game. He left another QB in Denton (can't remember the kid's name). So when Riley (?? I think he started that game) went down, DT was the only QB on the sideline. Worst. College. Coach. Ever.

Aldo was asking for bold predictions. I predicted Fine wins the backup job and becomes a starter after Morris is injured in the annual whore game. Fine struggles to adjust to the speed of the college game the rest of the year and UNT goes 2-10, with Fine winning one of those games. BUT, Fine wins the starting job in 2017 and leads UNT to a 7-5 record while earning 3rd team all conference as a true sophomore. Again, Aldo asked for bold. I don't trust this O line. I hope and pray Morris stays healthy, but I think he is going to run for his life A LOT the first 3 games of the year.

It's not only possible, it's a certainty. Casual fans/Dentonites don't even know the name of Wren Baker, or Ric Villarreal, for that matter.

We shall see...

Recovering from last year will take time. I think some of you are going to be shocked by SMU attendance, especially on the alumni side of the stadium.
-
They already raised ticket proces on club seat holders, which was incredibly stupid.
-
Well, step one of my "bold prediction" appears to be progressing nicely Let's hope UNT avoids step two.

I am more skeptical about the entire offensive line. Extremely worrisome.

Yep, forgot about the redshirt injury season. But I disagree on playing him vs A St. Terrible terrible move. That's not good. At all.

Someone remembers Derek Thompson vs Arkansas St. I've often wondered how different that 2014 team would have been with a 5th year senior Derek Thompson at the helm. Too bad Dodge followed the longstanding UNT tradition of protecting yourself before protecting your programs. Let's hope today is a beginning to an end of that gawdforsaken tradition at UNT.

That would be your response. Sadly, discussion with you has devolved into you name calling and me responding. I'm going to try and be better and just let you show your true colors more. Most likely this occurred because you resent the way I went after RV, who you supported for the longest time before being drug, kicking and screaming (literally screaming) into reality. I get it. It's kill the messenger. I really wish you could set this aside, but considering a good percentage of your posts are aimed at me and very hateful, I doubt this happens in the near future. It really does amaze me that some of you don't realize what happened from Portland St to RV's firing in regards to my persona on this web site. It shocks me even more that some of you continue to have MINIMAL expectations long term for UNT athletics and that makes me wonder if UNT will ever be anything more than the joke of Texas FBS athletic programs. It's a new day. Expect Wren Baker to act like a real FBS AD. I do. Expect UNT to step it up athletically. I do. And for God's sake, stop whining about people who disagree with you. Challenge them on the merits of their opinions.

Solid QB play and at least 28 points on the UNT side of the scoreboard.

I only defend myself, and even then with amusement. I realize the internet isn't real life. Maybe you should, also. I mean, I figured a young guy with a masters would have already come to that conclusion. It always amuses me the tough guy roles people play on the Internet, down to challenging another Mean Green fan to "meet me in the parking lot" when EVERYONE knows that meeting would never occur, and if it did it would be 2 guys apologizing to each other over a beer. Because personal interaction is WAY different than Internet message board Bulsh. I get that. You should try.

The up down vote thing is the dumbest thing ever included on this website. Have confidence in your opinions. Disagree without name calling or being an ass, something foreign to our younger posters and some of our older ones. Argue your points on the issue. Don't name call. It only makes you look like you are desperate and unable to get the better of the argument. Basically, be an adult.

Thank God!

And that is pretty much what I recall him saying when asked directly about Fine. The direct quote I believe was "the best players are going to play."
-
I wonder what happened to Moore between his freshman and Sophmore years. If he can't pull it together, UNT may need to look at other options. And this is what I took Littrell's comments to mean.
-
So much this...
-
Manzel was headed down that road regardless of his success. He didn't exactly win the parenting lottery. Perfect example of how being rich doesn't make you a good parent. Obviously you would like to have the talent in place in order to be able to redshirt a promising freshmen. If Mirris goes down, UNT doesn't have that luxury and I'd bet Fine sees the field in that situation.
-
I see what you did there. Also, I think he probably told Brett he would prefer to redshirt freshman. Hell, everyone would. But if Morris goes down game 2 or 3, Littrell will play the best QB, even if he doesn't like it.

You are right. I don't get "brigades" like you that accept losing. Never wil.
