Some rules are made to be broken. Sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. Just do it until they tell you not to. If @emmitt01 is planning his usual opening day camp out, I doubt he will be told to leave.

I think that space could be used better for sponsored tailgating events, and I hope that is the plan. Miller Light would set up there sporadically, but like everyone else, seemed to give up the last half of last season, and had scaled the operation way back before that. It would be a good place for live bands both pre and post game. Hopefully the new AD is thinking outside the box about how to use this space. I always got the impression that the old AD's buddies got those spots, but maybe that's just my prejudice coming through,

If so, that's a very small freshman class...

Wait... You can contact the ticket office directly? I thought that number was secret... And Oldguy is right, you have to own club seats to buy extra club seats. Always been that way. But at the same time do I put it past the ticket office not to have known this policy for the last 5 years and to have violated it EVERY time? Hell no.

Great info, thanks.

Actually, they both are. ? Morris is listed by 24/7 as 6'3" 233lbs. Thompson was listed as a junior as 6'4" 218 pounds. I'd bet DT was actually more mobile than Morris.
-
Not necessarily true. I have seen RVs lined up on the far west side of the red lot, between the red and blue lot. I always wondered if these spots cost more than the spots on the east side of the red lot. This seems like a good time to ask.
-
Mobility. Again, Aldo asked for a bold prediction. Also, injuries can happen to any size player. DT was about Morris's size, yet went down for the year with a broken hip against Army (??). A mobile QB has a better shot with this line. Also, Morris and DT also compare pretty equally where mobility is concerned.

Ya, I guess the question is can you use a regular redshirt in a season in which you play 2 games. The obvious answer is no.
-
But now he has the hindsight of the redshirt year being used the very next year. Hindsight is always 20/20, especially in this case. Also, wouldn't he have been eligible for a medical redshirt in 2014? Or would the fact that he played 2 games the year he received his redshirt have eliminated that possibility? UNT never had the ball with the chance to go ahead. They were down 2 scores every time the offense was on the field. With less than 3 minutes to go. In the last game of an awful season. A head coach should see the bigger picture, both for the program and the player. Problem was Dodge felt he had to win to save his job. The big picture didn't matter to him at that point.
-
The quality and depth of the Oline. Remember, Aldo asked for a bold prediction.

Contradicting yourself in the same post (see the bold) and quoting your other screen name is priceless. But that's not the only way you contradict yourself. You say that this is a stud coaching staff that knows what they are doing, but then say they should move Fine to WR. Even though the staff believes him to be the best option at #2 THIS YEAR as a true freshman. And this from just reading half that novel. No, I dont believe this will be a long rebound as I have boldly predicted a 7-5 record next year. I realistically understand that we have less than 70 players on scholarship (maybe @BillySee58 can update the hard number for us?) and that this team is paper thin on both lines. That is where football games are won and lost. Yes, it's going to be a struggle this year. I know you don't want to believe this because, being the longtime RV defender that you are, you want to be able to come back at the end of the year and say "I told you it wasn't that bad." Well, it is that bad, but it won't take a competent coach and a real FBS AD long to fix it. Because they are competent professionals. We will see. In the short term, I'm a realist. In the longterm, I'm more optimistic for this program than 99% of the posters on this board. If Wren Baker is what we think he is, this thing turns around, and turns around very quickly. Leadership comes from the top down.

Oh, I know. Still first thing that popped into my head, though.
-
Why? So you can change it when I propose it? No thanks. I doubt you would pay up if you lost. Morris may end up with better stats than a QB that was only allowed to throw when everyone in the stadium knew he was going to throw. Even under those conditions, he led the Mean Green to their 2nd ever bowl win on New Year's Day and will be a UNT hall of famer. But to say right now Morris is better than DT was his senior year is crazy green Kool aid drunkenness. Id love to see what DT could do in this offense.
-
A guy who has thrown one college pass is now better than a future UNT hall of famer? Come on, guys. Did you guys chug a gallon of green Kool Aid before this podcast?

Title of this thread made me think he was injured. May want to change from DL to DE...

On this we agree. But when/if they DO embrace it, wouldn't it be nice if they walked into a great gameday experience on day one? An experience that confirms to them that UNT is a major college football program? You have to build a program into a winner. You also have to build the gameday experience by trial and error. That process needs to start 9/3 so it can be ready and effect when/if this thing turns around. Please think big picture.
-
Why does there have to be a first and second? Coaches and players are responsible for winning. The AD is responsible for game day. Both can be changed simultaneously. It is always surprising to me when fans think things can only be changed one at a time. Hopefully, that was the old way of doing things. It's a new day. I wish fans would embrace it and EXPECT MORE.

Gee, Mark, why don't you make a very personal comment about a personal relationship of mine again on this website? Because, as I recall, that's how our last Internet discussion ended. And I do recall. I knew he was gone because you just talked bad about him on here. It's what you do: villify those no longer here while sucking up like a Hoover vaccum to those that remain. I can tell who is gone by how you post.
-
I'm guessing Cooper Jones no longer works for UNT, eh KRAM?

While I agree with this, the market dictated where the price fell. The club level was never sold out, especially at the mid level and top level seats. Don't believe me? Give the ticket office a call and tell them you want to purchase club seats at the 50 yard line. They will be falling all over themselves to take you to lunch (if they answer the phone) and provide those seats to you. Everything you post is spin. EVERYTHING. And anyone who has been around for a year or more knows it.
