The d-line gave up over 250 on the ground. That isn't close to respectable. The defense as a whole was awful. The line was particularly so.
-
And he hasn't been hit in 4 plus years. His arm strength is underwhelming.

It was on KNTU. Doubt they have a link up. It was the post game radio show. He said he was disappointed in the offense and there was hesitation. He said they will review the tape and the best QB will play. And he said it in response to "are you going to get Fine more playing time next week." He coulda answered that question with very generic coach talk. He didn't.

My thoughts. We are going to be bad. Might as well take the USM route and play him. This isn't s bowl team, and if Littrrell believes he is the future, might as well get him as much time as possible. Judging by Littrell's post game comments, I think that happens by Rice at the latest and quite possibly could happen a week from now.

Fine was warming up. Shirt may come off.

This defense can't tackle. This is a very Dodge like performance. If they aren't better next week, they will lose. And that looks like the only chance for a win this year.
-
Defense has been anything but impressive. SMU will roll up over 600 yards of total offense tonight. And do it easily. The defense has been worse than awful. This is SMU, not OU. UNT has a hard time tackling.
-
This. So much this. I was hoping my 2-10 prediction would be proven wrong today. Now I worry that we won't win next week or once this season. This team has exhibited zero explosive ability in the first half. Morris wearing #5 is very apropos. He can't throw the ball more than 15 yards downfield. I think we see Fine fairly soon.
-
The Dodge moment is 3rd and 45 being converted for a TD. A bad team has 371 total yards of offense in the first half against this defense.
-
Chunks and chunks and chunks of yards. SMU will end up with over 500 this game easily. The defense is worse than terrible, and winning next week is looking far from doable, much less a sure win.

A year ahead shouldn't equal a 30 point loss. That's where this is headed.

Against a football team not named Oklahoma. As this beat down continues, remember that we are losing to a BAD football team. And losing badly. Morris's arm in live action looks very much like Andrew McNulty. That deep ball that was picked had zero on it. SMU had 243 yards of offense on the first quarter. Do the math..,

I have known the family for years. Here is the story on Zack. He is 6'3" 240lbs, slimmed down from about 265 last year. He played NT last year and backed up a kid that signed an P5 FBS scholarship. They slimmed him down to play DE this year. Last night was his first start. He didn't camp a lot. He was going to go to UNT's preferred camp, but strained a hamstring a couple of days before and didn't want to test bad because of injuries. He has D1 size. I hope UNT takes a gander, and I think @GMG24coaches in the same district, so I would be interested to get his opinion.

Ok, thanks. Can one still exit Bonnie Bray from 35E and turn left to get to the blue lot entrance?

Are construction delays really that bad?

I figured people could post any concerns/info in this thread. With that, I have a question: I have a friend (yes, it's true) coming to the game from Waxahachie. I vaguely remember concerns about I35E from Dallas folk. Should I have him take an alternate route?

It isn't just the AD and head coaching change. It's hiring consultants to thoughtfully examine what is wrong with a dreadful program. It's creating 2 new high level positions in the AD to further assure responsibilities can be delegated with proper supervision and follow up to make sure they get done. It's hiring a guy to one of those new positions that many would have been happy with as AD (exceeding expectations, when has that ever happened?), including one of the smarter spots minds on this board. Its revamping the game day experience and asking the fans to tell them if what they are doing is working. That would NEVER happen under the last guy. It's getting an email from the AD telling us they are hiring a firm to establish a master athletics plan for facilities. No more band aids on things only after it becomes clear to a 1st grader there is a problem. It will be interesting to see if there are gameday experience changes today. Will the band be in uniform? Will they make an enterance onto the field for pregame that resembles a major college football program? Will the team walk in change? If so, how? One thing is clear. There will be changes. Starting today. Otherwise you would have been allowed to fill out the questionaire beforehand. This year will be tough on the field, but things look to be changing at UNT. A commitment SEEMS to have been made by the administration and BOR to FINALLY get serious about athletics., I am more optimistic for the long term prospects of this program than I have ever been. #expectmore Go Mean Green!!
