  1. I think when he was offered he had a pretty good idea TCU was Big 12 bound...
  2. TCU plays in the Big 12...
  3. He may turn down a Vanderbilt. He won't turn down a mid tier P5 program. He won't turn down TTech, for example. Of course he is going to make the RIGHT choice for his future, but some on here will interpret what you said as he won't leave for Ok St because he made a commitment to UNT. If Ok St. Offered tomorrow, he would be out the door. And to Bowler's point, I agree. He obviously isn't going anywhere this year. P5s will want him to win conference titles and produce a 10 win season before they look seriously in his direction. 8-4 ain't gonna draw the interest of the big boys.
  4. Garner was all over the field in the first Army game. Biggest impact by a linebacker I had seen all year. Don't know why he didn't finish out the year as a starter.
  5. Littrell is gone at the drop of a hat if a P5 comes a calling. Don't kid yourselves. He isn't an alum, he has no attachment to UNT and wants to be the best at what he does. That means coaching against the best with the best. I wouldn't want him as head coach if his ambitions began and ended with head coach of UNT.
  6. Army bought 10-12k, which means there were 8-10k minimum less UNT fans in the stadium than in 2013. Still a great showing. More like 26k UNT fans. Army was WELL represented...
  7. Hawaii played 13 games this regular season then won their bowl game to finish 7-7.
  8. Morris's play in this game was head and shoulders above anything seen at UNT in a very long time. The one pick was due to being hit as he threw the ball. Over 300 yards and 3 passing TDs. Great performance and a great game to watch.
  9. Good to know. Lol.
  10. I think they can give full rides, but only have 36 scholarships to give out, so they usually split them? Or did I read that wrong?
  11. Black Helicopters!!!!!!11!!!1!!1!1 The government is watching us, even at the bowl game... ?
  12. I'm expecting about 25k. There was no 8 play goal line stand this year. There was no 8-4 record. It hasn't been 10 years since UNT has been in a bowl game. UNT doesn't play on NYD along side the Cotton and Rose bowl. 25k is still a great turn out for a mid level bowl like the HOD. 25k total attendance, just to be clear.
  13. Yes, you were. But in a good way...
  14. It's about offers, not stars.
  15. Problems happen when those fans vilify those who disagree. There has been Gestapo-like behavior from several on here if you don't rah rah it up. They even direct it toward educated sources such as BillySee and RJay because they give warnings they don't want to hear. Repeating the same behavior (same excuses as under Mac) and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity per Albert Einstein. This board has a Masters degree in that behavior.
  16. And I really didn't get my tickets from the Great Emmitt Ticket Giveaway. That was a joke. Point being, how anyone gets their tickets is no one's business. Just be happy they are attending.
  17. Good to get a 5-6A first team All-Conference performer.
  18. Don't even try to be logical... This is a battle we should always win. Hopefully this kid turns into another Cyril Lemon.
  19. I really don't care what you expect. I got mine in the great Emmitt ticket giveaway. ? I guess we should all post giving levels, eh? I think i'd win that contest between the 2 of us... I'll be in the stands. Will you?
  20. It doesn't say that purchasing tickets through the UNT ticket office is a prerequisite on the mean green sports link provided above. And maybe I got my tickets from a source not UNT...
  21. Thx. I blame it on Christmas Day laziness. ?
  22. Does anyone know if you can pay for the university sponsored tailgate at the door and also in what building the tailgate will be located? If anyone has this info, can they post it on its own thread titled "Tailgate info" or some such.
  23. He turns 18 in February. He is 6'3 and could carry more weight. How that affects his mobility is a coaching question. I would assume if it's the right weight put on the right way, it wouldn't hurt and might even help mobility. With this kid, I can promise you it will be put on the right way. Look at his recruiting tape. There is a still shot at the beginning with him standing giving a radio interview. Pretty rangy kid, even at 250. No idea where he projects at the college level. My guess would be a 3 tech DT weighing about 285.
  24. He couldn't teach Mitchell a post game, and Mitchell was waaaay more athletic than Brice. Brice also has a little of the problem that most big men have these days. They don't relish being a big. They would rather be a guard. Post game is a lost art. If you could put Combs skills in Brice's body, you would have a first round NBA pick. We will disagree on Brice's athleticism and agree that he needs far better coaching than he is getting.
