  1. I mean, DT was no Dajon Williams... Thank God...
  2. Letting him serve out his disasterous contract will just reinforce to those fans that UNT needs back that it's the same ole UNT with a new face at AD. Its better to get the player used to the idea of a different coach sooner than later. This thing is going nowhere this year.
  3. Rah rah rah, sis boom bah.
  4. Third team in one of the most talent rich areas in the country, but keep bashing a 17 year old if it makes you feel superior. He reads these threads, that I know for certain. You know nothing about Zack's situation. I do. But you don't care. You would just rather short change a kid to have your little poke at me. What a guy. Dont worry, never again will I try to direct anyone to this university and I certainly won't post it on here, where certain posters will use personal issues with me to downgrade a 17 year old kid. I wouldn't downgrade the kid. All I was seeking was contact for a preferred walk on offer. Because of his late start, no one knew if he would receive any offers. Zero contact from this staff, which is disappointing. Especially with a kid that reached out to them and had some major achievements his senior year. If the mods want to delete or lock this thread, that's fine with me. This has ran its course.
  5. Don't worry. I will never suggest a kid be interested in UNT again. I certainly won't post about it, as those with agendas will down talk the kid. For an example, look at Lifer's post to the Washington kid. Also not recruited, but not an all-area player in one of the most talent rich areas on the nation. Compare them to his post about Zack in the first locked thread. That has to do with is hatred of me, nothing to do with Zack's ability. And it's sad. Zack will fine fine. He is a 17 year old kid that hasn't touched the ceiling of his ability yet. I'll follow his college playing career Where ever he ends up.
  6. Wow. This kind of crap makes me want to walk away from this program completely. Go ahead and delete the thread if you like. Because of some people's hurt feelings toward me, they trash a 17 year old kid. Pathetic. You guys will never have to worry about me trying to direct a kid to UNT again.
  7. I think a preferred walk on offer to a late blooming unanimous 1st team all-district 5-6A DT and member of the DFW all area team should be expected, no matter who the kid is. Dont worry, I'm fairly sure he won't be attending UNT. Don't know that I'd recommend it to him as a walk on spot at this point, anyway. Tell me, when others (like Cooley) have posted family friend's pages, have you made snide remarks to him, also? No? Hmmm.
  8. Well documented.
  9. Just checked and its 66-46. This thing will be 0-7 or, at best, 1-6 after the next 3 road games. I hope Baker cans his check steal rear after this game. Don't send him on the road to do what he does. Lose. I wouldn't be so sure about that, Harry. There is something to be gained. FINALLY telling your fan base you won't tolerate losing in your BBall program. Letting him coach out the year SCREAMS same ole UNT. Don't think Baker wants to send that message.
  10. Ya, because UNT has all those conference home games against UT, Oklahoma, and USC, so scheduling just like those teams you mentioned makes perfect sense, right?
  11. Can't think of a more quiet place to put the little ones down for a nap. Middle wins by 20 plus. Chance for a win was Thursday.
  12. All those increase with better recruiting classes, because better recruiting classes = more wins. UNT has to have this happen before what you suggest happens. That's just life.

  14. It s so tiring to constantly see people on this site ignore a problem simply to have some slight grain of hope. Dear God do I hope that Whren Baker and Coach Littrell can get this thing right so all the faux analysis and denial can finally be put to bed. I get people want something to be excited about, but won't it be nice when you don't have to manufacture it for a change? If you didn't see that just about every deep ball was underthrown and off the mark, you just weren't paying attention or you were watching this thing through heavily green tinted sunglasses. I started pointing this out during the season. No one disagreed. But now that we have the glory of a 5-7 season and a bowl loss to a 7-5 team under our belt, the deniers want to deny. So bloody typical of this fanbase. A fanbase that suffers from the worst case of PTSD in history. Even money that Fine isn't the starter next year. The odds would be better if UNT had better QB signings.
  15. No, you are correct. 2 teams would have to play 17 games. 4 teams would have to play 16.
  16. What would you estimate attendance at last night? Not the official number, but actual butts in seats?
  17. Welp, I was certainly wrong. Don't know whether to be glad or sad about that or just not care. Middle wins by 15 plus Saturday.
  18. This is the home game I thought we would win for no good reason at all, other than we win a game or 2 at home every year that we shouldn't. Conflicted.
  19. They could choose to go it alone, but unity is always better, and it helps split the cost of a certain long and drawn out legal battle.
  20. Go look for yourself. But you will have to go watch games you recorded, because they don't put bad throws up on meangreensports. If you didn't see it this year, you simply aren't a very observant football fan. Like I said, the coaches know. That's why the mid and short passing game was choked off. That's why there were 8 in the box the last half of the season. No deep threat from the QB position. That's why Morris would have started the USM game even if Fine were healthy. Sure, the throw to Smiley is "just fine," problem is it isn't a deep route. You know that, you are just jumping on the pile. It's what you do. You call it a go route, 24 calls it a fade. Really don't care. It's a deep ball of over 30 yards, and one of the very few that Fine threw on target all year. I watched the games and know this to be true. I don't need to rewatch them. Apparently you do.
  21. And when they break away from the NCAA, because that's who they will be breaking away from, they will then having incoming freshmen demanding contracts to get paid to play. They will become a professional league. And they won't be able to pad win/loss with games against NCAA teams. They will have to play each other. Don't forget the lawsuit will still be ongoing and on the VERY good chance they lose, they will have to pay damages for prior bad conduct. Leaving the NCAA before the lawsuit was completed would give further evidence of competitive disadvantage to the G5. Keep in mind, the G5s would be suing the P5s AND the NCAA. The P5s wouldn't go anywhere until the suit was done. The possibility of the suit is what keeps them around and keeps them throwing the whore crumbs at the G5s. You say this is going to happen anyway, so why are you so against taking steps to try and prevent it? You going all Clayton Williams on us?
  22. Never told you to "shut up," I simply challenged a terrible idea and worse, uneducated assumptions on your part.
  23. Intermediate isn't deep.
  24. Except that isn't what I said... I think it's mechanics and not timing or arm strength. I also hope it's an adjustment to the college game. Way to much air under those fades. Whatever on what you want to call the route. It's a 20 yard crossing route, a throw both Riley and MiniMac could also make with ease. I am glad there is at least one example of Mason making that fade throw. That gives me hope that it can be worked out. But there is a LOT of work to do.
  25. Crossing routs aren't deep balls. Good Lord. Deniers deny. I promise you the coaching staff knows this is an issue. If Fine doesn't dramatically improve his deep ball before the end of Spring practice, he will most likely find himself #2 on the depth chart.
