  1. Let me tell you, In-And-Out (a good fast food burger and nothing more), puts White Castle and their inedible S on a shingle to shame. College roommate raved about White Castle. Went there with him on a trip to St Louis and that crap wasn't edible. No wonder you have to be stoned to eat that crap.
  2. Recruits may read their own thread, but they aren't worried about a general thread dealing with the ticket office and what not. Im hoping for changes after basketball season, but it's only hope at this point.
  3. I don't think recruits care about fans gripes about change, or lack of it, inside an athletic department. It's a simple question to find out what people think and how patient they will be if they do expect change. Why are we so scared to talk about real issues?
  4. Baker has been here 6 months now and we have yet to see the significant personnel change inside the AD that many were looking for when he took over. We also continue to see some of the same problems. Thoughts?
  5. Actually, thank god for this site and those who raise concerns early. Left to the normal green Kool aid gang (not talking about you), nothing would ever be questioned and UNT's indefinite suck would continue unabated. Consequences are an effective motivator. There were no consequences for the Hattiesburg Hustler for the better part of a decade and he had zero motivation. We all saw how that worked out. I encourage those that are unhappy with recruiting, men's basketball, or anything else to contact Wren Baker. By email, by phone, by social media, by whatever means possible. Let him know what you expect. Yes, it absolutely makes a difference. This fan base has done very little but sit on its ass and bitch about losing. It's way past time to let people in power know that we expect better. A lot better.
  6. You gotta be kidding me. Keeping Benford hurts this team's chances to win, not helps it. Good Lord.
  7. So what does a PWO give an athlete over s regular, non-preferred walk on?
  8. If he doesn't recruit better, he will never get this luxury.
  9. Confused by this article, which seems to indicate a scholarship offer?
  10. This is the consequence, Mr. Baker. Do what you should have already done.
  11. The answer is A LOT. If UNT does not have the commitment to ever fix the problem, why should anyone have a commitment to UNT basketball? I know I won't.
  12. So, first instate offer would indicate what about the TCU offer? Regardless, would still be a good get.
  13. The question is what is Fine's ceiling, and how far from it is he. None of us will know until several games into next season. But I think we all agree that QB play HAS to improve next season for this thing to work.
  14. well, then, my mistake.
  15. Need a VAST improvement in QB play for that jump to occur...
  16. This. Expect more. Remember, TFLF is the same guy that is fine creating a lower classification and moving UNT football to that classification. Is it really any surprise that he is fine with the status quo?
  17. No it isn't. And hasn't been. Talent wins.
  18. It was a troll post by a UTSA fan. And it was really stupid. Funny how there is no outrage when people call me names, isn't it?
  19. Perhaps you didn't notice, but that 100 point loss was the first conference game. It didn't make UNT 0-5 in conference play. Cant blame you for not noticing. Very very few people notice UNT basketball these days. But seriously, pointing out ANOTHER 100 point loss really doesn't help prove your point. At all. Whatever that point is.
  20. It has zero to do with the City of Denton. That's just stupid. The problem is UNT's consistent failure to hire a coach and staff that can both coach and recruit. Dodge was a great recruiter and a terrible coach. DMac was a bad recruiter and a bad coach/ Dckey was probably the best recruiter UNT has seen, but was an average to below average game day coach. He also had no budget to work with. Littrell can coach. Winning 5 games with 68 scholarship players proves that. The big question is can he recruit. Unless this class improved dramatically in the next 3 weeks, signs will point to no.
  21. Benford has issued a version of this same line every year, I believe.
  22. I think for an opponent hosting a Benford coached UNT, that 3 point statistical average advantage should be upped to a 5 point statistical advantage. Because, well, this is a Benford coached team.
  23. Solid post that I think captures the frustration of every remaining UNT basketball fan. Please put that in an email and send it to Wren Baker.
  24. Talent is talent. The "system" argument is one you will here when coaches have a bad class.
  25. So you can read the coach's mind on whether they think they have a good class? Because I promise they aren't going to tell you if they are disappointed in a class. And what we think ABSOLUTELY freaking matters. We are the consumers of the product they are putting out. Considering he is a preferred walk on, it wouldn't bump this class one bit. Don't believe the hype you hear from unreliable posters.
