  1. He posted it. Makes me wonder if there aren't some circumstances that may give us a chance. Kinda late to be offering a kid of this ranking.
  2. This is a very interesting offer...
  3. If Pearson were Allen, you would have an argument. He isn't. Not yet. This is your opinion. It's not a fact and is backed up by nothing more than "that guy recruited that guy, so this guy must be good." Terrible argument. We all hope young Mr. Pearson builds up to the green Kool aid status you give him, but there is nothing to indicate that this will most certainly happen, and nothing to indicate he is any better a recruit than the previous list I provided. There is actually tangible evidence that he is worse. I hope he throws for 50 TDs as a true freshman.
  4. So if Bohl is such the standard bearer for FBS college QBs, where was the avalanche of FBS offers after Wyoming? Its a terrible argument, and one that falls completely apart under scrutiny. 5. Based on what? He is a 2 star with one other FBS offer. I want to know exactly what criteria you are using to make this statement, because it isn't recruit rating or offers. It isn't on the field FBS performance. That leaves your opinion as the basis I find your opinion historically unreliable and inaccurate. So if Bohl is such a QB expert, where are all the other FBS schools jumping to offer Pearson? Look, I like the kid. I think he has a much better arm the Fine. But to make the statement that he is the "one of the best QB recruits in years" is pure sunshine pumping. He is what he is, which is a 2 star recruit with 2 FBS offers. At least until he proves otherwise.
  6. There is no doubt that happens. Unless UNT pulls a pretty big upset, they are staring 0-10 in conference play dead in the face (if Benford isn't fired). That would put them at 6-16 on the year. Just end it after the massacre at La. Tech, for cripes sake.
  7. This sucks for Zach. If this is true, I really hope he returns to UNT as an Asst or a grad Asst. if that jives with his life plan. One thing I know about Zach and his family is that they will make the smart decision for what is best for Zach's long term future. Whatever he decides, I wish him the best of luck.
  8. I'm hoping you are right, but will take no chances. Neither should anyone else. Let them know how you feel.
  9. And pray? fixed...
  10. Brandon Kennedy without a doubt. I've never seen a more disruptive, game changing force play football at UNT. Second would be Zach Orr. Tackling machine and 4 year starter.
  11. One good stereotype deservers another.
  12. SA is a Craphole of a town. UTSA is a Craphole of a campus. Your team plays in a Craphole of a stadium. If a coach can recruit to that Craphole of a situation, a coach should be able to slay it at UNT. Im not artsy. I could give a crap about jazz or the UNT music scene. I went to UNT when Denton was MUCH smaller and had a grand ole time. What you are showing is your own ignorance. Denton has 113,000 residents inside the city limits and the county had a population of 662,614 in the 2010 census. Are they all artsy fartsy types? Are you really that prejudiced? Maybe you like living in a town where the biggest attraction is a s-hole of a creek running through downtown that smells like human excrement half the year. Maybe you think THAT is what draws recruits. It doesn't. What draws recruits is hard work, relationships, and salesmanship. It looks like you lucked into a coach that is really good at those things. If he can coach at all and keeps recruiting like he has, your Craphole of a school will win a conference championship long before UNT. In any business or organization, the biggest thing that matters are the people in that organization. By a mile. UNT has had some crappy people in positions of power for a very long time that had an extremely adverse effect in this program. Overcoming the perceptions these people have left in their wake is way more of a factor than the City of Denton. Now, go build a football stadium or a weight room.
  13. We haven't had basketball for 5 years.
  14. By phone. By email. By social media. By carrier pigeon. Whatever method. Let them know your feelings on Tony Benford. There is a window to fire Benford after the La. Tech game. Apply pressure if you don't want to see him here all year.
  15. Go into a room with no windows, shut the door, turn off the light, and take a picture without the flash. Post that as the identifying pic in this forum. I can't think of a more appropriate picture than a picture of nothingness to present this forum.
  16. 75-65 in a game that wasn't nearly that close... END THIS!!!!!!
  17. Big rally. Down 64-52 with 2 to play 9 point game with 1:40 to go. USM doing what bad teams do. 70-60 with 23 second left
  18. 58-42 final media TO. How many suits do you take to Biloxi when you don't go to Biloxi? Combs has 3 points. Think he has checked out. Don't blame him one bit.
  19. The line was 2. Shoulda bet the life savings and to think I got an advertising email for the CUSA BBall tourney from the AD yesterday. Lolz!!!! 55-37 5:30 left
  20. That time UNT refused to fire a coach everyone knew needed to be fired for 4 years.
  21. Which begs the question... If USM doesn't score again the rest of the game, could UNT win?
  22. Another road game at La Tech Saturday then the team is off for a week. If UNT gets blown out twice in these two games, it F'n better happen the moment Benford steps off the Bus in Denton.
  23. 15 down with 15:30 to go:
  24. 38-20 and a UNT TO. Against a bad USM. Good Lord. Must have been a great halftime speech.
