  1. Lol. If it were up to you, RV would still be in charge. And I'm wrong? Lol. And I think you are nothing but a shill who takes marching orders from whatever UNT official pays you a second of attention. I think winning is the last thing on your priority list and you could give a crap if UNT athletes are successful or not. Isn't it cool to call each other names? Major change to you happens everyday when Baker puts on a new pair of pants. What really chaps your ass is I'm here. You want me gone so bad you can taste it. You would have UNT go 0-12 next year if it meant I abandoned the program. You want this program to stay small and unimportant.
  2. If they were major changes, we would know. They would be seen. Unless your definition of major changes is changing the AD coffee fund structure. Lol. The fact you can't name a major change means one hasn't occurred. Is that so hard to understand? And why are you so so so interested in shutting me up?
  3. Well, we know he has made zero changes inside an AD that sorely needed them. We know he refused to fire a coach and was willing to let the basketball team go winless in conference to avoid doing so. The fact that you can't name one change after 7 months is very telling. Did you read the consultants report? Go Frogs Basketball!!!
  4. Hardly. What hard decision or big change has he made?
  5. Until UNT athletics is performance based instead of personality based, it will ALWAYS be the failure it has been for the past 15 plus years. It's really hard to change the way a whole system operates.
  6. Words and actions. Words are cheap and have been used to fool this fan base time and again. Baker should be judged on actions. If that were the case, right now his grade would be a D.
  7. Imagine you not getting this... its easy if you try.
  8. GO FROGS BASKETBALL!!!

  9. I think UNT will be forced to hire from lower ranks. D2 or much lower D1 programs. Doesn't mean they can't be successful, just means a Larry Brown or a Jamie Dixon ain't coming anywhere close to this disaster. Don't look for a high profile hire lest you be sorely disappointed. This isnt 5 years ago. This isn't even a moderately disirable G5 job anymore. Don't fool yourself.
  10. Smart man. Recruits are 18. Coaches have a degree, are over 40, and care about their career. Slightly different scenario.
  11. Always look to history. History gives the chance of success about 1 in 5.
  12. A lot of interest from guys at a lower level, not from a successful coach who is coaching at his alma mater, which is a cut above UNT, and will have P5 offers after this season. Why in the hell would he come here after he watched from a ringside view this administration abandon the program and players for the last 4 years? The Scott Cross ship sailed years ago. About the time the UNT basketball ship sailed.
  13. Look, we have added 2 major salary positions to the AD and are building a $12 million dollar track facility. Stop buying the narrative from the suck ups on here that poor little ole UNT just didn't have the money to buy out Benford. That isn't what happened. Benford was very good at playing the good ole boy UNT network. He befriended the right people and used that friendship to get these people to buy excuses. Several at our tailgate told me this was the year because Benford finally had his guys and the team cancers were gone and yada, yada, yada. Nothing you can do but just smile weakly and shake your head at people's refusal to look at any past performance evidence. Benford worked the system. RV worked the system. The problem isn't either of them. The problem is the system and the culture it perpetuates. And it will never, ever change.
  14. Cross will have P5 offers. The time to hire him was 4 years ago. Plus, he would most likely view this job as a career killing move now.
  15. Lol. This wasn't decisive. This was taking the easy way out. Twice now.
  16. Missouri cares about men's basketball. Big difference between them and UNT. Cant wait to the counter in this thread title hits -10. ???
  17. Go Frogs Basketball!!
  18. It may be. The Hattiesburg Hustler rolled through that place, also. Probably gives more money to them than UNT. You know, just like he did to a conference rival while employed at UNT.
  19. I just wonder how many coaches will apply...
  20. Hey, at least you're honest about sucking up to the UNT AD, I'll give you that. I would think it would be hard never to have an independent thought. Guess not. But riddle me this: If RV was on the way out before the UTSA game in 2015, why did your support continue? I mean, the king was being slain, seems like you would realize this and would have been one of the first to speak out against him. But you weren't. You were still defending him. Seems y'all need to pick a narrative at AD central.
  21. lol. I keep it to UNT athletics. I imagine you are talking about your little buddy Rick? This is a UNT athletic board. UNT athletics have sucked for decades. I think the leader of UNT athletics is fair game...
  22. Ya, but impugning some professionally is A Ok. Lol.
  23. Na, I have AD lackies such as yourself to blame. I have a program that refused to fire an awful coach for 4 years to blame. While I sit and watch Kansas next year, you can enjoy McMurray St at the Pit. And for those just reading along, realize that 23 just crystallized the UNT AD approach to fans. If you demand better for years and finally leave when you realize things will never, ever change, it's your fault and it's ok to make fun of you for doing so. Make no mistake, 23 speaks almost directly for the AD here. How Rick Villarreal of him. Seems you are the insecure one. Go Frogs basketball!!!!
  24. Is this a comment about the final game or the entire conference season? Either way, you are right.
