I don't know who you would be able to attract with a three year deal. A 5 year deal with a buy out clause for UNT after 3 years seems more doable.

Any news on approval from the legislature for the athletic fee?? Seems to me that's the first hurdle to be cleared.

Uh....isn't that what we said about the defense last year?? I expect maybe 2 wins. I do think we will be more competetive in the games. I think Dodge will last the season, but will be gone soon after the last game. Again, I don't hate the guy and hope he wins 8 games, but this is what I realistically see happening.

We would all be on here griping that it was a no win game for us, because if we won, thats what everyone would be expecting, but if we lost, it would be devasting to our program (someone wake me up from this dream). It's all a matter of which side your on. That said, the BCS sucks.

If TCU had done this, they would be playing in the title game, but they didn't. Oklahoma wiped the floor with them, and they pissed away a win at Utah . I know everyone hates the BCS, but this argument is as pointless as the black coach thing. We will never know because they will never play. Those who hate the BCS will say that Utah played a tough schedule and should be rewarded with a shot at the National title, and those that defend the BCS will say that they play in a below average conference (compared to the big boys) and can't compete with the heavyweights in the BCS. And meanwhile the members of the BCS just chuckle and count their money, because this argument is one of the reasons there will never be a playoff in college football. People love a good controversy.

So if thats the case, and these are below average students, how come Troy doesn't have an APR problem? Sometimes I think we are so used to being who we are that we just grasp at any excuse out there.

It was sarcasm, but Bean's only other offers were from 1-AA programs, therefore we were competing with 1-AA programs for Bean's services. That said, I really hope he comes in and contributes. Troy seems to have no problem signing 3 star DLs. It's still early in the recruiting season, but after everything that happened this year, I am concerned about this year's class.

This could be a loss for UNT. But, hey, I guess any publicity is good publicity.

And you have to remember TCU had them beat on their home field before giving the game away. They are a nice team, but would not be able to run the gaunlet that was the Big 12 South this year. But it sure would be nice to see what they, and TCU, could have done in a tournament.

It's different for Alabama. They are different than us. You can't compare them to us. We are so unique, no other program in the universe can be compared to UNT. I hear the one o'clock lab band is starting two freshmen. That must be why it sounds like everyone is playing a different song.
