Well then, if I play in the GMG bowl, I need to be listed at 6'6", 245 lbs, with a 40 time of 4.6. I think this is all a conspiracy to make the average man think these atheletes are far superior to us, when really 11 of us from this board could probably hang with the Cowboys 2nd team.

This will be the liberal game plan for the next two years. It's all Bush's fault. It doesn't matter if the market drops to 3000, that, too, will be Bush's fault. It doesn't matter if Pres. Obama's policies lead us into a prolonged depression, that will be Bush's fault, much like FDR's failed policies were blamed on Hoover. I'd like some of the left leaners on here to tell me exactly when Pres. Obama becomes responsible for what happens with this economy. Next year? 2011? Never?? Seriously, WRITE IT DOWN NOW. Lets see how many respond. Time to look forward, not backward. To quote someone I read somewhere FIX THE PROBLEM (which for the fed govt means let the problem fix itself)

What Makes Brett Vito A Football Guru?
UNT90 replied to greenblooded43's topic in Mean Green Football
Berman was a stud lineman........Buffet line man. Vito provides free publicity to this program, and people come on here and attack him personally. I'll never understand it. Such an old topic. -
Actually, just the opposite. Thinks DON'T get done when when the two branches are split. And thats a very positive thing!! Money doesn't get spent. Social agendas don't get passed. It is probably the best form of govt, doing as little as possible. Oops, missed that last line. Glad to see you'll be voting repub in the midterms.

Wow. This statement could be applied to so many in history, and rarely in a good way. Never a good thing to pay any type of price to have a charismatic leader. Ask Germany, Italy, Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, etc... Usually that price is personal freedoms disguised as necessary sacrafices. Not that it will happen, but it constantly amazes me that people think our form of govt will never change. The coming 2 years will provide just that opportunity for the people that want it to happen. Wealth destruction is NEVER a good thing. I'll put my money back in the market (ie, invest in companies, large and small) when the market hits 4500. And even then I may have to endure a temporary loss. Being financially leaderless in this economy is a recipe for something which few in this country are prepared. Hang on, it's gonna be a bumpy and protracted economic ride. So confused why people think this is the right leadership when this Pres has done nothing but go to school and run for office. Not a lot of life experience there. But, man, he sure does talk nice.

Wasn't Casey listed at 6'1" in the progams last year? I don't understand why coaches keep fudging measurables like this. It's not like your opponent doesn't line up across from you and know how big you are. You aren't going to fool pro scouts, they are going to measure. SO, why do it?? To fool your own fan base? To make the player more viable for post-season awards? Someone please explain this to me.

You are talking about the tournament, right?

I think the mystery lies with the other party. I'd hit 1/4 of that place tonight.

Apparently, so was she.

T.o. Released By Cowboys

Made me chuckle.... Diminishing skills. T.O. not you. -
It says six more months of negotiations. Will this delay the stadium construction?

Thoughts from the game. 1) Again, disappointing point guard play. Maybe I'm not in attendance for all of his good games, but Dom has not looked anything like a D1 point guard when I've been in attendance. But, he did hit the 2 free throws to ice the game (although there was a knot in my gut when I saw it was him and not Josh on the line for those free throws). 2) George's dunk was one of the most athletic plays I've seen in the last several years. More plays like that and the students wouldn't have to worry about the Alums standing!! If there is video of that anywhere, someone should post it on here. Was really disappointed it wasn't on chl 8 news when I got home (freakin Dale Hanson!!!). 3) Josh White was money tonight. Glad to see him back to his Freshman form. 4) The guards size was really exposed tonight. Let's hope this is not a trend. 5) The dancers were smokin 6) Great win. Call me crazy, but I was hoping for a larger crowd tonight.

That was the biggest white guy chest bump ever!!! There couldn't have been more than a 1/2 inch clearance between the bottom of y'all's tennis shoes and the floor. I, too, almost fell out of my seat laughing. Great entertainment. Whoever was trying to catch that Chicken needs a depth perception examination, although he did make a nice snag on the last one.

This argument will never end. I agree with you, by the way, although I think has more to do with talent than coaching.

Perfect example of liberalism run amok. First, you compare health care to municipally funded services. These are funded by a group of people (citizen of said city) who have chosen to live in a certain community based on what that community has to offer (tax rates, schools, police, fire, etc...). This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the federal government. Then, when this is pointed out, you simply say expand it to the federal level. This is the definition of liberalism, and to a lesser extend, socialism. When does the expansion of government stop? Maybe next I should expect them to pay for my car, gas, education (oh, wait, already covered), salary, and alcohol. Who do you think would do a better job of administering municipal services, the federal government or your city council? -

1) Still no answer. Was Reagan a successful President or not? 2) Your police and fire protection is provided by Municipal taxes! You really don't understand this? So, if you live in a poor community, good luck with that health care. 3) They will hate us until we convert to Islam, regardless of who is President or what our policies are. That is who they are. I guess we could just become France and give up. Again, are you ready to accept Allah? 4) Any economist will tell you that WWII got us out of the depression. 5) I think many on this board are currently paying their way through college. It can be done, it is just a matter of will and sacrifice. -

1) really?? So, are you a Reagan fan or not?? 2) So, there should be no national health care, just municipal health care? So those Bas___ds in Highland Park would still get the better of things!!! 3) We could have great relations with Iran. Are you ready to accept Allah into your life? 4 & 5) See...The New Deal. It only kept us in a depression for years. 6) Do you want free education or not? So confusing. I'm assuming you learned a valuable lesson while working your way through college (work ethic). Why would you want to rob your children of the same lesson? -
I attended UNT in 1988. Fouts was packed for every game!! The Super Pit was a sellout with students lined up around the building!!! All thanks to Reagan. Or not. I think most athletic programs succeed attendance-wise because they are a destination university. The students crave to attend that particular university, thus participate in much more of the "college experience". I also think that the average age of the UNT student is above other destination universities, and these students have different priorities. Many of these students also have never lived on campus and only come to campus for classes then leave. Throw in the fact that we are the 3rd most recognizable university in the huge metropolis that is DFW, with so many other things to do, and you have the perfect storm for non-attendance. I do see this improving as we move from a commuter school to a school with many more students living on campus.

Reminds me of my last doctor visit. Being over 40 ain't no fun at all.

So I assume you are a huge fan of Ronald Reagan? I would almost bet a paycheck that you have never worked for a governmental agency. -

Now They've Gone Too Far
UNT90 replied to UNTflyer's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
An asteroid came within 40 miles of the Earth last night!! It was 20 miles wide and would have hit in the Pacific Ocean! While this wouldn't have ended life on Earth, but it would have caused a huge Tsunami that would have killed millions. I am thinking that Ocean levels during this Tsunami would have risen far above any increase caused by global war.....oh wait, it's called climate change now, I forgot. Where is the outrage!! Where are the protests!!! Being a human and needing to believe that I control everything around me, I feel that the carbon fiber that we are releasing into the atmosphere is attracting these meteorites toward Earth! Down with Carbon Fiber!! I now must make other humans feel bad and make them think....strike that, feel that only my anti-carbon fiber group has all the answers. Please, don't bother me with facts. I am on a mission!!!!! Uh...the part about the asteroid is true. Imagine my suprise. -

The term "All Hat, No Cattle" comes to mind with this Pres. But, at least he is an eloquent speaker, even if he doesn't have a clue about how a capitalistic economy works. Seems the Hollywood culture of appearance and appeal finally has it's political day.
