  1. Agree. But I would add that the people you hire reflect on your judgement as an employer. Doesn't really inspire confidence in the decision making of those in power.
  2. I don't think we should base our expectations on the way things have been done/happened in the past. Do we really want to repeat the last 60 years of football history? I expect to see some early commitments and am disappointed when I don't. Until alums, students, faculty, and ADs Office start expecting more, we are going nowhere. I really wish we could raise expectations just a little around here.
  3. No...but he may very well end up in Columbus as a grad assistant.
  4. 17% of the national economy is about to be socialzed, with little to no debate in congress, and without anyone actually reading the details (again). Provides a pretty good point for those that say we are on the path to socialism. And we wonder why middle Americans are buying guns at a record pace.
  5. Someone who uses anything from the Daily Show in a legitimate argument instantly losses credibility. But such it is with youth these days
  6. Sure, our government could never change for the worse. Mass Riots could never happen on US soil. Countrys never invade each other, and we definitely never have to worry about that happening here. I don't think any of the above things will necessarily happen, but to think they couldn't is extremely niave and near sighted. A person has the right to protect thier person, family, and property. I imagine some want these guns because they fear a government that has shifted so far left in 100 days that they are frightened that they will lose any number of personal freedoms, and may fear a socialist state. And yes, they would need more than a 50 cal to protect themselves from an oppresive government, which is why the right exists in the first place. I doubt they fantasize about killing anyone. And me thinks your just bored with your over the top statement.
  7. Sorry to say, not buying it. After last year, I need proof... i.e. wins I want to buy it, but I just can't
  8. I had a girlfriend that taught in S. Korea for a year. SHe told me that N. Korean State Radio would broadcast Kim Jong II golf score some mornings. It was always 18...on 18 holes. Hole in one every time. He''s just a little crazy.
  9. I'm willing to bet the industrialization of China, who is not real fond of "green" projects, produced far more fluorocarbons than the less than 1% of the world population that began to recycle reduced. Yes, I'm aware there were other reductions, but you get my point. I remember being taught in 8th grade science class that the next ice age was a mere 20 years away. Guess that was wrong. And people wonder why the enviromental movement is dismissed by most critically thinking people. People got to think they have control over they're surroundings. You know, we are the ones causing the climate change, therefore we can control it. It increases self-worth, both as individually and as a species.
  10. No snaps from under center Phillip Young The spread offense A major college university hiring a high school coach The transfer of Giovanni Vizza Kelly Green No true point guard The ingredients in hot dogs warm beer cold pizza Mandy
  11. Yes, it generates revenue for the city. In large departments, the only responsibility of motorcycle officers is to issue citations. Administrators will tell you that the citations are issued to reduce traffic accidents, and motor officers are a valuable means to that ends. That would be great, but then they push the regular patrol guys to issue as many citations as possible, which kind of shows the real purpose of the city. I would never want that job, because you are basically nothing more than a glorified meter maid with a huge amount of risk. But, to each their own, I guess.
  12. And don't forget, terrorist captured outside our borders have no right to our legal system, and no rights under the Geniva (Sp) convention. This is why military tribunals were created and the terrorist were sent to Guantonamo Bay, Cuba (not American soil). The far left conveniently forgets this when they rant for terrorists rights.
  13. Didn't say I wouldn't eat them...Although I do prefer the all beef dog, but I bet the average joe would be shocked by those things.
  14. Three words that magically, wonderfully go....uh...hand in hand? ya, that was unintentionally.
  15. Impressed that the AD knew how many (approximate, I'm sure) living alums Rice had. I wonder if anyone at UNT has an approximate on this number. The win streak brought me back, sort of, to being interested in UNT athletics and the University as a whole. Problem was, there was no place to get info on the program (sparsely covered by local media, athletic website not very good). I found this board while looking for recruiting info after Dodge's 1st season, heard what a great time everyone had at games, how tailgating was allowed, got the recruiting info I was after, and became hooked. Now I have season tickets, contribute to the Mean Green Club, and am an ex's member. I love this board, but wish the Athletic Department could do more to get the info out there.
  16. I hope you guys NEVER read the ingredients on the back of a hot dog package. If you do, you may never eat another.
  17. Any snaps from under center?
  18. Wonder if he/she is eligible to play linebacker for the Dallas Diamonds? Better yet, how tall is she/he? How much college eligibility doe she/he have left? Women's BBall?
  19. Defensive presence, rebounding, and athelicism. If she can provide that, she's worth the scholly.
  20. And that makes it better how?!?!?!
  21. Great in the 90s. Senile in the 00s. But, I'll stick with the 90's memories. Is he already in the Hall of Fame? If not, he is a first ballot shoe in, but more for broadcasting than coaching.
  22. Kay Bailey, you right winger.
  23. I sent both reps an email. I would suggest taking 5 minutes to write a thoughtful 5 lines or so in your own words. The cut and paste, while efficient, lacks a personal touch.
  24. Technically, it was 4 days. And now they start to look like the same little Rangers, no pitching (especially in the pen), lack of timely hitting, etc... Ill still watch them, because they have exciting young players which = hope for the future. Right now, I'd much prefer to watch a Rangers April game over a Maverick playoff game any day of the week. And remember, we'll always have April 6 - 9, 2009 !!!!
