Watching Kinsler hit these days is just painful. It looks like he is on the Chris Davis major league hitting plan. 3 strike outs and a solo homer so far. Swinging from the heels all night. No making the pitcher work, just swinging at balls the are almost bouncing to the plate. So painful.

I can just imagine the 5th grade drug education class, during the question and answer portion, when the smart little kid in the class asks "If drugs are so bad, how come my daddy can buy them at the store?". The education program will evolve into drugs are bad, but they are for adults, so you can't have any until you are an adult. And we all know that middle and high schoolers have really bought off on this when it comes to tobacco and alcohol. More tax, more tax, more tax. Didn't this country basically form to avoid this thought process?

This offense is just terrible. Home run or nothing. "Opposite field" seems to be a foreign concept. It will be interesting to see if Mr. Ryan makes a change at the hitting coach position this off-season. CHris Davis appears to have returned to his old self in AAA. Hitting close to .400 and going the other way. Not Mr. Home Run Or Nothing that we saw the 1st 3 months of this season. If only we had last year's first half offense with this years pitching. It's funny how some on here think Police are out there looking for people with a dime bag. Doesn't happen. When Police run into these situations, sometimes the people are arrested, sometimes they are not. It is even a ticketable offense in this state now. It is very common for other drugs to be found after a stop is made on a car with marihuana smoke pouring out the window. No one who possesses less than 4 ounces of marihuana (a QP for all you stoners) does any serious jail time, and any time they do is done in county jail, not TDC (there goes the argument for clogging up the jails). Normally, they only do jail time if they choose that over probation. And this is in conservative Texas. Laws are much more liberal on the coasts (CBL smiles as he avoids jail time ). People always focus on the small picture with this issue. Democracies have a history of incrementally slipping closer and closer to anarchy until the democracy falls, usually to a dictator style of government. Also, do you really think that the insatiable appetite of the government for more tax dollars will stop if you open this gate? It would be the first step to total legalization of all illegal narcotics.

ABC (or whoever is broadcasting the British Open) are breathing a HUGE sigh of relief after Tiger didn't make the cut. Imagine the ratings if Watson hadn't ridden in to save the day.

My sister-in-law has been laid off for over a year, she is 51, yet hasn't asked once for a free ride on her health care, or anything else. She prepared herself for this eventuality. Lots of folks do not need help. Some folks need help. Actually, about 5.5% of the population. The point of health care reform is not to lower the cost of health care. If that was the point, socialized medicine would not be forced down the throat of the American people. The reform wouldn't be given a two week time limit by Pres. Obama to be completed, and cost of the reform (see, not savings, but COST) would not be hidden from the American people. The point of the health care reform, or socialized medicine policy, is a power grab by the government to make you dependent on the government for health care services. One more step down the socialist road.

Then choose to be a Met associate. It's not what you get, it's what you earn. Everyone gets affordable health care in this country. The less fortunate have to wait in the emergency room of the county hospital for it, and usually get a lower standard of care, but that is life in a free market society. I'm sure a lot of people on here have a nicer house than I, as I'm sure I probably have a nicer house than some on here. Nothing is guaranteed in this society, not employment, not education, not a nice house, not a pretty wife/girlfriend. If you want something, go out and freaking earn it. If you want someone to pay for your health care, don't be a full time musician. It's called a life choice. There is a reason your employer calls it a "benefit".
