  1. I will never forget the excitement that surrounded Jamario during his unbelievable freshman year. At that point in time, knowing that we had Jamario for 3 more years (if he didn't turn pro), the future seemed so bright for UNT Football. Can things turn on a dime or what?
  2. Nope, just re-assign to a small office in the back corner of the Athletic Department, and then the reassigned coach would quite due to pride.
  3. Is this come with a standard Dish package or do you have to buy some kind of sports package to get it?
  4. John Weber, please. Big things! Big Things!
  5. No, I was speaking of the kick off, not the defense. The very first play, if it is us kicking off, will show how far this team has come. If special teams aren't fixed, nothing else will be, either.
  6. Excited, scared, worried, hopeful, nervous, and concerned. I hope we lose the coin toss and have to kick off. I think that first play will speak volumes about the direction that this team is heading. Easy with the D-line praise. Horrible last year and no proven starters this year. Let's just wait and see, shall we?
  7. I know it's pratice, but please tuck that ball away when you take off down field. Nice report, although unoriginal.
  8. Well then, it's a good thing the NCAA ruled Tyler Stradford ineligible, cause we don't need quiters, right? Dodge would take this kid in a heart beat.
  9. This program was a bone thrown to the Auto workers unions that supported the Pres. in his election bid, nothing more, nothing less. Shows the intelligence of union leadership (assuming they give a darn about their workers).
  10. Been reading this thing this morning. Nice spread by DRC on the Mean Green. For all you Vito haters out there, really not a lot to complain about in all of the articles. Really good coverage and a fair portrayal by the DRC and Vito.
  11. How did Patrick Cobbs shrink two inches from the time he played at UNT. I coulda swore he was listed at 5'10" when he played here. Surely no college program would lie about the physical composition of their players!! Next thing you know, people will be saying R Dodge is only 5'9"!! The blasphemy!!!
  12. Dude, I said I was really excited for this year, also. Looking at the schedules, I am beginning to think that the better chance for the little Rangers is to catch and pass the Angels for the division than it is to win the wildcard. Boston's schedule is unbelievably soft down the stretch.
  13. Then move to Argentina, you left wing, ultra liberal tree hugger.......Oh, wait
  14. I need to look up Andrus's batting stats for the last month. I bet he is hitting about .330 with an OBA of around .400. And he turs 21 tomorrow. Just think about the years to come with this kid!!!! Really excited for this year, but even moreso for next.
  15. Un-Be-Lievable!!!! And in a good way.
  16. Un-Be-lievable!!!!!!! And not in a good way
  17. I thought about this post when I saw Pudge interviewed in the locker room after a game this weekend. Maybe it was just the receding hairline, but his head looked massive. Anyone else? Was it an optical illusion caused by the soon to be Larry David hair do that Pudge was sporting?
  18. That's because you were actually funny. Surprised he recognized it.
  19. Let see, now you will have to worry about both, you will have to worry about your kid getting high while ingesting 2nd hand smoke of the tailgating group next to yours. It's just one more thing that, if legalized, will make parenting just a bit harder, society just a bit more morally looser, add just a bit more to the intoxicated of our society. And as I stated in an earlier post, alcohol is a drug, and should be illegal, but has become too accepted by society to do so. Funny, I've posted that several times, along with the effects of alcohol, yet no one really challenges that. Maybe we just don't want to hear it so we can all go have a beer?
  20. OK, just realize that people will now be smoking marihuana outside your favorite restaurant, in the parking lot of North Texas games, and everywhere else you take your kids where smoking is allowed. How many are prepared to have a discusion with their 5 year old about drug use? How many are prepared for 2nd hand smoke issues and your small children once you legalize marihuana? Like stated before, huge amount of tax dollars are not being spent to pursue the average marihuana user. If a cop runs into someone with a little pot, he has the option to either arrest the pothead or write him ticket. Many times, the arrest leads to the discovery of other, stronger drugs. Legalizing methamphetamine is just plain stupid (not that anyone on here advocated that). Do that, and watch crime go up about 300%.
  21. Isn't it amazing that the leading home run hitter in the American League this year will be in the mid 40s? Must be a dead baseball year.
  22. What a disappointment Blaylock turned out to be. Who would have thought back when he was hitting homers in the all-star game that he would be an after thought in free agency.
