June Jones was on Good Day on Fox 4 this morning guaranteeing a bowl bid by the end of next year. Tim was on his knees for Jones. Could Tim be a SMU sympathizer?

Easy there. Remember, we were the absolute worst team in D1A last year, so unless this was the greatest recruiting class in the history of recruiting classes, "stockpile of talent" does not yet apply to this team. Let's see what happens Thursday before we anoit them Sun Belt Champs.

My re-occurring dream says 28-17 UNT. My conscience mind says 38-10 Ball St. And again, giving up 38 would be a defensive improvement.

I think the issues with them stem more from the editorial staff coming out against the athletic fee, then, after the students voted for the athletic fee, giving publicity to an idiotic attempt to call a new election, and then giving 100 editorials to a non-student who railed against the stadium and the student government. At least those are my issues. I do wish they had a better sports section, but they are a student paper, afterall.

Called them and they say that the sound will be on. It will be upstairs. The guy didn't know if the Alumni Assc. had rented out the whole upstairs, but said that the sound is always on when they host different alumni associations upstairs.

I freaking love this web site. I am on information overload for this upcoming season. I don't know (and don't care) about all the graphic stuff, but for pure content, this is truely amazing.

Well, if you watch the highlights of him running with the ball, you would see why. He was a running quarterback in high school, recruited as an athlete, and apparently couldn't get playing time as a wide out at OSU. Using him as a scat back in this offense is almost the same as a receiver, except it lets him gets some carries in the running game. Surely you would want your best athlete on the field (which everyone is acting like this guy will be) to have as many touches as possible in as many different ways as possible, No? Like college players never change positions.

Could Cole be added as a running back/scat back? Much like the role Dunbar will play this year?

There isn't any difference between this kid and Stradford. Please don't give me the whole "Hurricane Katrina" bit. While it's a nice excuse to try to forego the transfer rule, fact is Stradford was not going to be a starter at OU, knew it, and chose to transfer. Good for Stradford, it doesn't make him a quiter, just like it doesn't make Cook a quiter.

One good sign is almost injury-free Spring and Fall practice sessions. Hopefully, this is a good omen for the upcoming season.

They were talking about this on good day yesterday morning. Tim said that UNT was upset because there was no green and white can. Then followed that by saying "I don't know why they care, they lost, what, ten straight?" Nice.

I predict the Rangers are within a game of the Angels by the time they start the first of 2 series in the last week and a half of the season. I have no prediction for what will happen after that.
