Only if you take Todd Dodge first.

Sigh. For the first time ever, this isn't at all funny and is really just very, very depressing. Grab your ankles, gents.

I'll say this, no matter what happens..... WKU does not fatigue. It doesn't happen. This has to be one of the best conditioned teams in the freaking country... 4 games in 4 days, and they don't look even a little tired or slowed down... you kidding me??

Okay, hold on a second. In the ridiculous midst of talking about genitals and calling people 12 year olds, I need to stand up for the COMPLETELY apolitical Santorum video since I posted it first, simply as light comic relief. Firstly, it IS golden, and secondly it has NOTHING to do with anyone being gay - and can't conceive the mind that would go down that well, to be honest. Bad Lip Reading. It's a satirical thing that's gone around this entire election season. Here's a WaPo article about it: http://www.washingto...roEuL_blog.html They've done every candidate in the race, from Bachmann to Obama, and if politics doesn't suit you, try the Michael Buble or Taylor Swift!! It's a simple premise turned harmless bit, and they're all nonsensical and without agenda. The Santorum one is simply my favorite, was topical given his 3 state sweep, and was actually discussed on The Ticket that morning, so it was fresh in my mind (http://gordonkeith.w...ommercial-ever/). It's the JibJab or Autotune the News of this election cycle, and it cracks me up. Why you're so cranky about it is beyond me, and I have NO clue how it affects who CBL sleeps with more than the Bush/Kerry "This Land is Your Land" .swf of 2004. Oh, also, I have no idea where you get "meat", because he says "and I hold it so it's a fancy fist with joy!" during the debate clip. As nonsensical as anything else. Sigh. I don't get it. I guess we can get back to shouting at each other, but this was just too weird to let pass. Maybe you just get bent out of shape if it's a perceived attack on a dude with a R after his name, so for fun's sake, here's the Obama they did - it's just not nearly as good.

On Sunday, given these teams, I'll cheer for... BAAAAANNNNEEEEE!!!!

Tony Mitchell comments from yesterday
CaribbeanGreen replied to bono's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Loosely related, there was a play late in the game where Jones whipped a pass straight out of bounds ahead of a break, but it was pretty clear that the ball whizzed 2 feet in front of Niko, who was leading the break and whose head never looked back for even a half second. It was 100% Niko, but of course was credited to Jones. These are the kinds of things that familiarity will help with.... but I totally agree with GreenP1 on Tony's open floor ball handling - just think that a lot of that stuff gets ironed out as we move forward. -
Tebowing at Fouts
CaribbeanGreen replied to MeanGreenATO's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
VY was a pro-bowl QB who led the Titans to double digit wins once upon a time... I know, seems crazy, right? Also, I would say Tebow "has the Broncos in the second round" a truckload less than Von, Elvis and those sumbitches, but that's just me. -
Three High Schools on Todd Dodge's List
CaribbeanGreen replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
a la Allen, which is larger than some colleges (and whaddaya know, are great at football! Shocker!).. Here in Frisco, there are SIX high schools. Three made the 4A playoffs (one undefeated, Frisco Centennial), but they're generally not consistently great. It's a different philosophy, and I've come to believe it's the single biggest defining trait on a school's long term success. An affluent suburb with a very high population to school ratio - there ya go. -
Look, nothing against Coop... he's carved out a decent career over the years in a tough business... but National? Really? Some college coverage for Westwood One radio is the only non-Texas thing on his resume. Other than that, it's Texas sports radio pbp and lowly rated talk shows. Again, I respect the guy, but this isn't really fair in comparison to the other two guys. I mean, if you want to go early Ticket hosts, your "national" guys are Menefee and... gasp.... Bayless. Jub has the flat out highest rated show in morning drive on the highest rated radio station in the only demo that matters in the DFW market. He's a legend in the making, and most of all, he's as UNT as it gets. "Local, semi-professional" is the biggest reduction imaginable in this case. To say he'd be "intimidated" by Coop when he used to host the show BEFORE Coop's on the same radio station for years (Coop was let go while Jub is dominating almost two decades in) makes no sense. I had no clue Mark had a thing to do with SMU. You sure you're not thinking of Rich Phillips?? Mark has, IMHO, the best voice in local media and is the TV pbp guy for the NBA Champions... Also, a UNT guy. ..."employed because the employers only want to pay Local wage scale" - not on any planet.
-
Wait- Mark Followill sounds like a high school football radio guy to you? Really? And Jub intimidated by Coop?!? REALLY??!? I'm just confused by all of it.
