Fun fact about that: I did the $25 thing. The sticker never came. Also, I got an email about joining during a T-shirt giveaway, so they wanted to confirm my size and address. I did that. Never got a shirt. I got a welcome/thanks letter, though!

And the Cowboys just won a division title, and FCD is in first place in the Western Conference. I don't know what "mold" you're worried about, but I feel pretty darn fortunate to root for the hometown teams I do right now. If your standard is championships alone, that's one gigantic mold.

I actually agree with almost all of this. We had those passing numbers in '02 because we didn't need anything else. That team - and those immediately before and after it - could run the ball as well as any teams in NT history. Better, probably. And that defense was just brutal and nationally ranked. That team slowly choked the life out of opponents and just flat out did not get beat by inferior or equal competition. The bowl win was far more impressive as well. Nothing against 2013, nothing at all... but that's a double digit game to me.

Speaking of Liverpool and that town's true home team (wink), what a glorious, sweet, clean morning it was for all Evertonians worldwide!!! Any time you beat the Great Satan is glorious, but going 3-0 over ManU at Goodison and vaulting back into the top half of the table? After the way this year started? Yes please. I'm pouring a pre-AM cocktail. Amazing stuff earlier in the thread, CBL - my only differences with you (and admittedly I'm on a Toffee high right now) involve the fact that I'm still a pretty staunch Roberto defender; I know his bang to hype ratio was a bit out of whack, but so were the jackals at his heels when this thing was struggling. I'm not an expert by any means, but I saw a team today whose manager completely outclassed Van Gaal. Also, it would take a king's ransom for me to break up McCarthy/Stones/Barkley. It may happen, and I don't disagree with you that Barkley (at this stage) may be rather overhyped, but having that core together moving into next year with this momentum is something that excites me greatly. Then again, what do I know? I'm on record as an unapologetic Darrell Dickey fan!

Agree that the whole FCD experience is light years beyond what it used to be. Weekend night games in the summer are, dare i say, electric. Also, Everton guy here. Not thrilled with this season, but playing better lately and damn happy to finally be safely clear of relegation. (my god i can't believe i just typed that kill me)
