Not saying it should be this bad, but take away the two best players from almost any offense in the country (against the best team they've played) and you've got problems

Okay, I admit, I'm a big Kason Martin guy and don't know much about Bean. Not gonna judge him on this performance by any means.... can he throw? He clearly has some wheels. Two throws looked rough, but just in general, was he a big passer in HS?

Yeah, the altitude the factor. But that ain't it. This is one of the big reasons this was the last bowl game a lot of us wanted. USU is just a way better team. Period. Whatever wrinkle you put in, whatever you try to call, you're outgunned. It's a big hill to climb. So it's the bowl game in the worst possible time slot against the worst possible kind of opponent - a no name (to the casual fan) who's really effing good. Two years in a row all of that applies. Oh, add to that the fact that in a season you lost your best RB, your best WR can't go and your absolute MVP QB goes down? That's a recipe.

Yeah, so far we do. ESPNU's bowl preview said this was maybe the biggest physical mismatch of bowl season, and I laughed at that.... not laughing so far today.
