  1. Has anyone heard when tickets will be available for this game yet?
  2. Rick said yesterday it will be 50" by 30', compared to our current scoreboard which is 28' x 16'
  3. You hit the nail on the head. The concern is on defense. We don't have even one playmaker on that side of the ball yet. And by playmaker I mean someone that will make a key stop, force a fumble, pick off a pass when we need it. You know the kinds of things we used to see in the early part of this decade.
  4. Agreed 90%. The only problem is that in this make or break yrear for Dodge, he either has to do it with a career back-up or a True So. with 3 minutes of experience.
  5. Player of the game was Odufawa. Dominant inside and was scoring when no one else was in the first half, plus huge block at the end. Biggest contribution per minutes played - Alzee. Played big minutes and really contributed when Troy was making a run. Clutch player - Josh White. Just like the Denver game, he stuggled pretty much all night from the floor but then hit big shots late that helped hold off Troy.
  6. We're taking our group of 4 to the Army game. My brother lives very close to there and he's also an NT alum whose somewhat lost his way and sometimes forgets to cheer for NT since he's in the frozen NE. I'm hoping we have a big traveling squad up there so he catches the Mean Green Nation spirit again.
  7. We'll be at the Army game as well with about 7.
  8. This is typical and why we can't trust the ratings. He wasn't even rated before North Texas offered and now all of the sudden he's a 3 star? I'm sure if he had signed with us instead of North Texas he would have only been a 2 star ...oh wait. never mind
  9. Agreed. He's either a genius, or he gets extra hype for the new stadium opening with a shiny new coach. Either way he wins (unless of course we go 1-11 and RV gets fired, then I guess it was stupid, ok now my head hurts)
  10. A. Bold B. Stupid C. All of the above I'll go with Bold. If it works out he looks like a genius. If it doesn't, he has given the GMG.com moderators a lot of extra deleting of threads to do next fall.
  11. Tip of the my cap to Rick V. for this! After Todd Dodge, Rick V., me, you, after we are all long gone and buried, UNT will still have this beautiful new stadium. Congrats and Thanks!
  12. Really? We've had two SBC games and we were blown out at the half in one of them.
  13. I want to know who called the plays in the 2nd half for our offense. Because it wasn't the same as the 1st. Near the end of the 1st half on 3rd and then 4th down we ran the same exact play. It's the one where all 4 receivers run 5 yards and then turn around. We did it on back-to-back plays. Both incomplete. I drew up better plays on my hand for my brother to run out in front of our house when I was 10 years old.
  14. This is good news. It looked like the WR crew was thin against BSU. Any word on Roberson? He had some good catches before seemingly leaving with an injury?
  15. I expect just under 20K. If it is raining around 16K.
  16. - Real Speed at QB (When Riley was pressured he easily escaped it) and WR (Jamaal Jackson has wheels) - Offensive Line Play by Gill and Drake was dominating - Playmakers on Defense in Royce Hill and Craig Robertson - Freshman punter off to great start - Kickoff Coverage was very good - Cam is a stud - D-Line got some pressure and penetration What about ya'll?
  17. If we win, predictions of 10-2. If we lose but it's close, predictions of 7-5 or 8-4 If we get blown out by 20 or more, predictions of 1 win if we're lucky. What I'm looking for, - play-makers on D ...read turnovers or stops for losses. - Getting off the filed on 3rd down. - putting 7 on the board in the red zone.
  18. I too found this somewhat funny. It read like we have to get our running backs more involved by passing the ball to them. Huh? Couldn't you just run the ball?
  19. Thanks for posting that picture. Last year when that helicopter landed in the parking lot, it completely blew our 10x10 canopy over (it has 5 pound weights on each leg) and did minor damage to our car because it landed on it. I was more than a little annoyed to find out later it was simply for show.
  20. If they do that, I'm starting the "Throw the Ball" cheer again
  21. This is a great point and one I often thought of. In my opinion, since we've moved to a points system for things like seats in the new stadium, you ought to receive more points for consecutive years of season tickets, and a 10X factor if you had seats during the early dickey and Dodge years. Unfortunately, most of us will be on the 20's because we won't have enough points (read cash donation) to get closer.
  22. Very disappointing. The US winning in Azteca is kind of like NT upsetting a Top 25 team. I hope to see it in my lifetime. Always thinking this is the year but then it isn't.
  23. Most interesting tidbit to me "Dodge said his other nine freshmen who were supposed to be there all reported." Only 9 freshmen in a recruiting class is not good.
