Maybe I'm wrong here, but I don't see how its any different than people who work 30-40 hours a week and go to school full time, like myself. Except I don't have special tutors and study halls, and I still make good grades.

I should note that I didn't post this here with the intent of organizing anything malicious towards their campaign. But more to show you who were dealing with, and that hes not giving this up. Jeff Kline has already sent a message to the students asking them to email some guy named Brandon Reynolds to get assisstance from people who will help get the word out. I've already emailed him back seeing if there is anything I can do in regards to that. I certainly don't condone ripping down their flyers or anything of that nature.

This was posted by a student on the "against" group on facebook. "according to the news, the stadium would be funded by a $300 fee added onto our tuition. i have more important things to spend $300 on than a stadium for a team that can't even win a single game during the season. sure, college football is about recruiting, but with our track record of losing, no decent football player in their right mind is going to trade in an opportunity with OU or any other big name university to play in a new stadium with a sucky football team." According to facebook, this student is supposed to graduate in 2010, so it wouldn't even apply to her at all. $300 is also inaccurate since the increase is only $7, it would be $210(30x7) per year. Where is all this bad information coming from? What irks me is that these are the people who are going to be making up most of the "no" votes. People who don't know anything about what they're voting on.

The most irritating argument I've heard is "We need to spend the money on other things". Implying there is money currently available to use on other things. I really think some of the people believe there is some large pit of money that UNT has hoarded away somewhere and is pulling out of it in order to build this stadium. I've seen it time and time again on the opposing facebook group.

I remember seeing a few concept pictures of t-shirts promoting the new stadium. With the vote just around the corner I was just wondering if any of these exist, or if there are any wheels in motion to get them produced.

This thread kind of reminds me of when a fat kid makes fun of another fat kid for being fat.
