There is no argument for keeping the starters in the entire game. That would be insanity. The game was closed out after the first half. There's no need to question JJ's judgment when the game was out of reach well before the end of the game.

Damn. I have intermediate accounting from 630-920 on Thursday. Hopefully I get out early and get to see the end of it. I may have to settle for having espn mvp tuned in on my desk.
-
If i'm not mistaken, it looked like Tramiel headed to the locker room halfway through the first half. Anyone know what that was about?
-
Well damn. I've only missed 2 games so far this year. Wish I was there. GMG

Nobody was "pwn3d"... It was a great game and it really could have gone either way with one or two plays going differently. You're sitting here contesting the big 12 offensive abilities, yet I bet you are also one of those people who claim that the big 12 has no defense as well. OU held florida to 24, and UT held OSU to 21. Those are damn good numbers vs damn good teams. The Big 12 is still right up there with the SEC. Arguing which conference is better is nonsense. There are just too many good teams in each conference to call one better than the other. I don't care who won the "BCS" National Champtionship, because i guarantee you if there was a legit system (playoffs) for determining a true champion it would NOT be the SEC 3 straight years.

First of all I don't agree that the next coach "has to be black". If mginsurance is correct in his theories that there is an untapped market of black coaches, I don't understand why there is so much resistance to at least pursuing a quality coach that may be more affordable than a white coach of equal qualifications. It sounds like a pretty good place to start looking if dodge does not improve this team next season. Obviously, if a (insert race here) coach with better qualifications and an equal price comes along, then that person should be considered.

Its very clear that Phillips meant monthly increments. I don't understand why anyone would even bring this up.

Sounds good to me. The rankings should be unbiased, I think he did the right thing despite playing for Texas.

I haven't seen too much mention of Howerton. I was really impressed by his aggressive offensive presence during the Cameron game. What the hell happened to him last night?? Why did we not see that same Howerton?
-
Yeah I was pretty disappointed when I got there and saw that it looked nothing like the pictures taken from the 50's with the portable bleachers. I agree, I don't want to see another game there unless they do it right next time.

Wow. There were signs on the pit crew side that said students couldn't sit beyond a certain point which I don't understand either. If that were true then the student section would only have held 300 people or so. Overall, that was some pretty terrible planning.
-
Why didn't yall cat in the hat people sit in the pit crew side? A couple of people that came from the other side were complaining that people were yelling at them to sit down. If someone were to yell at me to sit down there would be a problem.

Isn't the time between the last regular season game and the last bowl game about 5 weeks anyway? I don't see why a 32 team playoff wouldn't be feasible because of 1 more week.
-
Who is talking about an 8 team playoff? I think an 8 team playoff wouldn't be much better than the bcs championship... If there were a playoff (which won't happen) it should be 32 teams, with the winners of the conferences getting an automatic bid, just like the ncaa bball tournament.

Nevermind, we just scored on a penalty kick as I was posting the link! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!! GO MEAN GREEN. 2-1!

New York Times Article About The Drug Article
aprice replied to Green Dozer's topic in Mean Green Football
There is absolutely no way that I will ever believe that recreational drugs are even slightly correlated with the teams performance. I think you are forgetting that we are losing by 30+ points a game on many occasions and have had only 1 competitive game this year. I also think its pretty weak of dodge to throw out the suggestion that it has something to do with on the field performance. -
What's Wrong With College Football
aprice replied to NT03's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
No one seems to be talking about the fact that OU DROPPED 2 ranks despite winning 62-28... -
Oh man, was I the only one hoping that WKU returned that last kickoff for a touchdown to put the game in the hands of our offense? Oh well, im glad it ended the way it did, that was a very exciting game to watch!! GO MEAN GREEN!
-
Its almost surreal seeing us leading a game in the closing minutes of the half.
-
Thanks Dodge, this is just what the program needed. What did you think was going to happen when you drug test 80 college students? Now we have more negative publicity along with 0 wins. Good job.

I got my study partner in my blaw class to vote yes last night. He didn't know ANYTHING about it. There is such a lack of correct information out there it is sickening. Very few people I have talked to seem to know very much about it. My fear is that they will vote no on the knee jerk reaction of the negative connotation associated with a cost, or a fee. We shall see on Saturday.

Today is the first class of the week for me and I have not heard too much conversation about it, except when I have initiated it. I talked to my workout buddy who is a freshman, and he said that his freshman government teacher is giving out extra credit to everyone who votes on this thing. He also said that the teacher did not try to persuade the students to vote one way or the other. None of my teachers have mentioned the vote, but I wonder how many of them are doing something similar, especially in the government department.

I got 4-5 friends to vote yes, but one of them voted no before I could even explain it to her. Argh! So far many of my friends that I told to vote were initially against the stadium. After 2-3 minutes of giving them the facts they finally agreed with me. This concerns me since there will be a very large number of people voting that either don't know all the facts or have been told incorrect facts. Just in the other facebook group, some girl posted that the new stadium will have a retractable roof... who knows what other crap is being circulated.
