Not really lecturing, just giving my thoughts on the matter. I like beating you guys, but it's to everyone's detriment to have a North Texas team that is this bad. I enjoy seeing you guys lose to us and would love to win this game every year, but I don't enjoy seing a UNT team so bad that it can't win any of it's OOC games. At this point, this problem goes beyond UNT because it's going to affect the conference over the long run and besides, this has gone beyond where it should have and when I see fans that are still supporting Dodge, I just can't stand by and not say anything because to support Dodge at this point is ludicrous. The guy is a terrible coach and I don't want to see any Sunbelt team go down this far. I think the team has gotten worse since last season and that shouldn't happen with a new coach under any circumstance. He hasn't improved over the previous coach in either of the last two years. There is no excuse for that.

We hvae bowl tie ins that guarantee us a slot unless there is a 7-5 team available. It looks like the MAC will have a couple of extra 7-5 teams available, but if they didn't, the bowls we have a tie in with would not have a choice when "choosing" another 6-6 team over a Sunbelt team.

You guys need a good 1A Coorinator or Assistant Coach (o.k. a coordinator would cost too much). Why hire a high school coach when you can get a guy that has at least proven himself at his position at the 1A level? I knew the Todd Dodge hire was going to be the best thing ever, or the worst thing that could happen. Too much hype about your recruits and his coaching abilities too often. A coach needs time to turn things around, but the manner in which he is losing games is proof that he can't coach. It would be one thing to lose a lot of games, but to get hammered in almost every game indicates that he can't coach at this level. Your team is not improving as time goes on either. You should at least be competitive at this point in the year. We have had almost no running game all year and suddenly we score six TD's on the ground? It doesn't make sense. You guys need a new coach.

Yeah, those early games are a mystery to me. I still think if Boots Donnelly had still been coach, we never would have lost most of them. Either way, I expect a big win this weekend. Until Dodge is gone, we should win this game, although this year could be close because we are so young.

Yeah, but our record against UNT has little to do with how another conference would perceive MT. We have a Top 25 Women's B Ball program, a baseball team that goes to the tourney quite often and a Men's Football team that had a great year last year. We do need to prove a lot more in football, but when other conferences start looking around, I have to think that we look a bit better than most of the Sunbelt. I personally would rather stay in the Sunbelt than go to the MAC and from what I've read, so would most MT fans, but if Conf USA comes calling, we are gone. Right now, Troy, MT, UNT and maybe one other team has a shot at Conf USA if the Big East decides to go to 12 teams and pulls from Conf USA, in that order. I don't think we are too good for this conference and I love the rivalries we've developed. If given the choice between beating Texas and beating UNT, I'll take a win over UNT every time. Same goes for Troy...and WKU. There. Done.

We should come up with an arsehole rating system. We could grade each other and see who wins.

Sadly, I've never been to an opposing team's stadium (in conference). I have sat just above FireFightinRick though when he came to an MT game Fouts looks good to me. I don't really see what the beef is about. BTW You can't see it in the picture of Floyd Stadium above, but we have two tiers on three sides.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, we had about 70 scholly's due to NCAA academic sanctions. Also, Central Michigan was obvioulsy far superior to the team we had on the field that day. I think we did our best against a really good team, but I agree, it was embarrassing if we hadn't tried our best, but we did, so I stick by my team. I wish we could have gotten a team clsoer to our level to play, but it didn't happen. I think we will be a bit beter now that we've had a full recruiting season and the sanctions have been lifted.
