  1. Are the coaches on this year's staff recruiting players for their position coaching responsibilites or are they each assigned to recruit certain areas of the state?
  2. Zeke's for the real old timers. Across the street from the back of Maple Street dorm
  3. Scrappy Club still exist?
  4. Love it...does it without wanting recognition or publicity...what a refreshing change to the "look at me" mentality of so many people today So proud of you being part of the Mean Green, Tylor!
  5. I believe that is a hand muff to keep hands warm on those cold game days.
  6. Congratulations KD...proud of you and your accomplishments for the Mean Green. Good luck in your future endeavors!
  7. If anyone wants to listen to this week's Mean Green Basketball Coach's Lunch Hour, it is available on The Varsity Network On Demand
  8. Enjoy reading about the positive things players are doing off the field...so much more important in life than playing the game. Players are provided a stage to affect many people and benefit when they use it to help others. Proud of you both on and off the field, Mazin!
  9. Agree, there is a differnce between performance and character. I never heard anything that led me to think that he did anything to disrespect himself, his team or the school. There is no reason to trash someone who has been nothing but a class act despite all the flack he received from some fans. He handled himself better than some of his detractors. Good luck, Austin.
  10. Ditto for me...good luck in the future, KD!
  11. It's been a blast having you as part of the Mean Green! Thanks for the memories.
  12. Great find...learned a lot about his philosophy
  13. Many have given thier personal peference for the new UNT coach. I think the fanbase would be behind any coach who won meaningful games, regardless of personality, age, experience, etc. However, I wonder which of the four projected finalists listed by FootballScoop would be the most attractive to the current talent nucleus of players on the team, players already in the transfer portal, and future recruits. Any thoughts?
  14. I am assuming that the ticket allotment was done the same as a regular season game with the home team assigning the ticket locations. I had assumed that it being a championship game it might have been different, but I guess winning the regular season has this added perk. It isn't considered a nuetral site as scheduled by some conferences. Regardless, GMG!
  15. Wren, thanks for stopping by our place. We really enjoyed your stay and wish you well on the rest of your journey. GMG
  16. Morgan came in the last !:34 of the Fresno State game...not sure that answers your question
  17. Due to all the missed practices during the flu bug, this might be a benefitial game to play and work on some specific things against someone other than ourselves in practice
  18. Especially the Chamber of Commerce, I would think.
  19. Worth listening to these interviews. If you want even more background on the breaking of the color barrier in Texas in major college football, read The Game Changers by Jeff Miller. UNT was the place it happened and the Unity Plaza will honor the men who broke the barrier. Dedication at 1:30 pm Saturday before the Homecoming Game
  20. I believe I saw in a previous post a reference to an interview with these two gentlemen. I didn't have time to read/listen to it at the time and can't find the post. Is there a link to this interview?
  21. Seems as if I saw something a few weeks ago about an interview with Abner Haynes and Dr. Leon King, but I can't find it. Does anyone have a link to this interview?
  22. Agree...will take another good coaching job to make sure the team is not looking ahead and overconfident about playing FIU.
  23. Minor or major injury?
  24. Bummer...bad luck for him after coming back this year. How about Johnson? Will he be back this year? If not, that would put us down 2 running backs that have played a big part in our offense this year.
