That's a good point. I had never really thought of it that way. It would be nice if Houston Baptist can get a few wins this year. That way, they hopefully won't hurt us too much.

I disagree. Granted the Mavs are off to a very slow start, but they don't practice at the AAC. Well, they do, but in a separate practice gym. I think practicing in a separate facility would be fine. I'm sure you would still have shootarounds and the occasional practice in the "game" facility to get the feel.

I'm with you, Mark. Gut feeling tells me we get our first win of the season this week. I really don't have any logical reason why other than it's just my gut feeling. I stayed throughout the entire game last year as well. Unbelievably miserable weather, but at least we got the W. After all, we haven't won a game since.

I think you're on to something here, but I disagree. If my opponent/opposing fans/newspaper/media/etc. tells me I suck, then I'm going to work even harder to get better and prove them wrong. However, if my teammate/own fans/family members tell me I suck, then it can be demoralizing. These people are supposed to be on my side, and rooting for me to succeed. When they lose faith, it's tough for any person to strongly believe in themselves and their abilities.

Great post! Let's show our support on Saturday by showing up for a great tailgate and football game on what is going to be a beautifal fall Saturday! I sure can't think of anything I'd rather be doing.

By the way, if any of you have not had the opportunity to look at this, I highly recommend it. It discusses all of the future plans for the campus, including athetics, building construction, creation of parks and gathering areas, etc. If this document doesn't get you excited about what is going at the University of North Texas, I'm not sure what will.

So, I have a question: If you buy season tickets, but the tickets don't get used, then it doesn't count in the attendance numbers? I have 6 season tickets, and we haven't always used all of the tickets. It sounds like I need to get them scanned as I go in anyway?

The weather shouldn't be a factor. The rain has been pushed back to early next week. Saturday forecast: Mostly sunny. High of 81. I'll still be there. I'm not going to bother to make score/attendance predictions. I'll just hope for the best.

I think it's still too early to make a decision not to go. I still have full intentions of going to the game.
