One of the basketball guys can correct me but of the remaining CUSA teams after the defections, has any of those teams made it to the sweet sixteen? Have any of those teams received an at-large bid? I know Tulsa was very good and probably has but that was 10+ years ago I think. UAB?

Marshall hasn't done squat in CUSA. In 7 years in CUSA they have two winning seasons. Both were 7-6. Their glory years were in I-AA or the MAC. East Carolina is 56-69 the last 10 years in CUSA. Their best record during that time was 9-5 which they did twice. They did have a couple of good wins over Va Tech and one other big school that escapes me (W. Virginia?) but they tanked later after those wins. Southen Miss has been the only consistent winner among those three. They were 12-2 this year which is their best season in a long time but they've had a lot of 7-6s the past 10 years along with a couple 9-5s. I could make a pretty good case that Troy has been better than at least ECU and Marshall over the past 10 years and equal to USM in most years. USM beat Troy 30-27 in OT in a bowl game during that time. After all of the defections, you could make a damn good case that the Sun Belt has been pretty equal to CUSA in football and probably better in basketball.

SMU sucks. That is all.

You can try to piss on this win all you want but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

For the record, JJ has won two conference TOURNAMENT titles not two conference titles. In fact we have only had one season where we were in contention for the conference title and in all actuality won the the title except for stupid tie-breaking rules. Look at his overall conference record, i would bet it's not a whole lot over .500 For taking a long view, you sure put a lot of emphasis on a short term record (conference tournament record). I can appreciate what JJ has accomplished here and i want him to stay but he's had way to many piss poor losses while he has been here and i don't blame fans for getting frustrated. If you can't bet frustrated and upset on a message board after getting clobbered by UTA by 30+ points, when can you get frustrated?

Didn't think our QBs and WRs would make enough plays to bring us a victory. Really love that the coaching staff is adding more and more to the playbooks on both sides of the ball. The "wildcat" with Hamilton and Dunbar worked just about all night. Still keeping my expectations on the low side but it does show what this team is capable of. Especially if we cut down on the turnovers. On to Tulsa!!

OK, how about that our offense has been shutout for two of our three games? I just hope all of the people predicting us to win aren't expecting us to win. I just don't think we are there yet, especially on offense. By the way, I wouldn't compare Iowa State or Washington State to Indiana. If we were playing the first two we'd be in real trouble. Hope i'm wrong but i'm not sold on our QBs and WRs to play well enough to open it up for the running game.
