Utah State is 30-11 the past three years and 4-2 this year. I'm glad they're not on our schedule anymore.

Dodge was paid middle to upper part of the Sun Belt. To compare what we pay our coaches to an average that includes P5 conferences is ludicrous. Dodge was a failure. Both Mac and Dodge were failures not only against their peers but against lower paid peers. We have paid our coaches and have an athletic budget in the upper tier of our conferences under RV. Besides one year every other year we have finished in the bottom half of the standings. That's the definition of failure. Our problem isn't money. I'm watching a game right now with two teams whose coaches get paid less than ours and and either team would beat us by 30. Go figure, they have good offenses and good quarterbacks.

I'll take that chance.

I'm against the banner but this "Remain calm, all is well" bullshit pisses me off too. RV made his bed. I don't know how a lot of you moved on from 66-7 so quickly. I'm still considering whether to bail off this ship completely. A banner is ridiculous but if that loss doesn't change anything, nothing will. It's more than just Mac that needs to go. Much more. Edit: I'm not against the banner, I would just employ other means. Which, probably wouldn't go over well either.

I like the whole "We can't fire the AD because we'll be screwed for the next year" We've been screwed for a long time now. I'd gladly throw away next year for a new AD and good football coach.

Not a judgement or criticizing those involved with this, I've made my opinion public that I wanted a change in both the football program and athletic department. I've always gotten a giggle when this went on at other schools, especially UT. It's a little sweet to see the high and mighty in disarray. Not so funny when it happens at your school. Carry on.

Knowing the talent level and youth of this team, Mac should have played Smith from the beginning and accepted the bumps and bruises of a 3-9 season but know it would better prepare us for the future.

I'm not advocating bringing him back, it's a ridiculous idea but.... He's the OC on a 5-0 team and we've got people talking about the possibility of hiring the OC of an 0-5 team. Equally ridiculous.

No, but after RV is gone he should be brought back, honored, and given a standing ovation.
