That's fine, I"m not a UNT fan to be liked. This post and all of your other posts were light years ahead of your first post. I'll be here next year, ten years after that and til the day I die. I won't always be right but I'll always bleed green. GMG.

I would rather see us get younger. Two different schools of thought. Whichever makes us better in the long run works for me.
-
You make good points but i think we are in a position to say no. A lot of young guys played this year. I'd hate to stunt their growth by sitting on the bench while some one year player comes in. I'm not totally against it, but I'd pick and choose with caution.

To me there's a big difference between a transfer and a grad transfer. Some of those you mentioned were transfers. Actually I think a lot of grad transfers are like Morris, they're okay but not program changers. We're still rebuilding, I want young QBs, not one year guys.

As what, a LB coach? If the coaches or fans thought this ship would turn around in one year, they were kidding themselves. We are woefully short on speed and a solid front seven. Good news, if we get solid recruits in they can play early. Also we do have some pieces in the secondary and if we can get some help upfront we'll improve. Rah rah and enthusiasm only go so far. A few wins doesn't change how much this is a rebuilding project.

Winning with a team that isn't used to winning isn't easy. Add to that losing key players and this game on the road, I'm not sure why people thought this was in the bag.

Even a broke squirrel is blindly right twice a day.

Looks like they'll finish third in their division.

Lost by 13. End this horse$&@# now.

I didn't check but I though Goree lead the team. Maybe just in yards? Never mind then, this game should be a breeze.

We're playing a huge game potentially without our starting quarterback, running back and leading receiver. On the road. Good test for this staff. Sometimes we forget how hard winning games is. Win this and I'll be very impressed.

When Is The Point Of No Return For Benford

Nothing better than UT in turmoil. Well, losing to Kansas and getting shut out by Iowa State was up there.

Turns out we were trendsetters for the 5-7 bowl team. That game was a tough listen on the radio. I would've been pissed if we had lost to USM after a 20-0 lead but when we won I just nodded my head and felt ok. We're beating bad teams and getting crushed by good teams and while that is an improvement it isn't very sexy. Then again, we've never been very sexy at North Texas. I'm totally on board with the staff and it looks like the future is bright but I'd be a lot more hopeful if I knew we had the quarterback of the future on the team now. And I just can't feel that way yet. If we do get to a bowl I'll be glad for the kids but truthfully I'll be more glad that we'll get the extra practices. This team could be 8-4 or better next year with a good recruiting class, an easier schedule, and some time to gel a little more.

I drink before the game then pass out right at tip-off.

Even following these threads has become a groin kickin.

Since I'm far from Mean Green land I used to put the Bball game on in the background while I got stuff done around the house. These days I just check CMJ's threads to see what happened. Sucks.

Maybe. Boise has had issues with consistency this year as well.

Not after last night's debacle but I get your point. On another note, Arkie State is on quite the run. Too lazy to see how many winning seasons they've had in the past eight or so years.
-
Put UH and Western Michigan on a neutral field and I'd take WMU.
-
I don't mind it. They're winning for the first time in ages. Good for them.

El Camino College.

Unless I'm mistaken we've given up 30+ points in four of our five conference games. That won't get it done. I do like how our offense has been more patient this game.
