  1. Odd that some teams with very good home records went down to not very good road teams in the CBI. March Madness, baby!!!
  2. Mercer has some beef down low and a decent PG.
  3. For what it's worth, the announcers on the GCU game said we are hosting on Monday. Have no idea how they know that info. Edit- Guess WB had already let that cat out of the bag.
  4. Bring on the Fighting Majerles!
  5. Damn, we pushed. Wait, I'm being told we were getting 13.
  6. He's going to improve his shot and FTs in the next two years? I listened to more games than I saw but you can't have your main ball handler be a liability at the free throw line. His assist to TO ratio was 1.7 to 1. I guess you gotta go with what you got but to me his inconsistency is tied directly to the inconsistency of this team. Then again I'm trying not to knee-jerk over the finish to this season. I thought GM should really try to keep the game in the 60s with our offense struggling but we did that and still lost.
  7. He might do just fine. But when you can't average three yards against Rutgers, Indiana, and you have eight games under 100 yards rushing, i'm just saying he might not be that great of a runner.
  8. You know what Barkley isn't that great at? Being a running back. He was consistently stopped for long periods of games. He's a hell of an athlete though.
  9. Man you guys jump ship quick.
  10. Delicious
  11. If you're going by "historical mindset," bring on the Red Raiders. If anything, they shouldn't want any part of us.
  12. In other news, Texas P5 college football is pretty mediocre.
  13. My first look at this team and we need someone who can run handle the ball. Edit: Oops, just meant handle but if they could run that would help too.
  14. This is why I wanted him to play last year although he's progressed faster than I expected.
  15. It was one guy. We won, let it go.
  16. We have the tiebreaker over everybody. All season Lifer has been saying 8-4 and I thought that was crazy. Now 8-4 seems like the floor for this season. That's cray cray.
  17. 18 pass attempts- 70 yards 8 rushes (Wilson)- 67 yards
  18. Just a quick math lesson. If it's 2nd and 8 and you have a guy averaging over 8 yards a carry you don't HAVE to throw the ball. In fact, the guy averaging 8 yards might be the best option.
  19. Fine is averaging 4 yards an attempt. Wilson is averaging 8 yards a rush. How about we impose our will and run it down their throat, coach?
  20. I wouldn't mind if UAB took out La Tech.
  21. Need more proof it isn't easy being green? Fine was the only one among those top 5 passers who lost last week. Oh, and I've been a fan since 1993 and every game on that top ten list above since '93 we lost except one and that was a tie against SFA. Sheesh.
  22. Appointing yourself the one to counter everyone's criticism on here doesn't change a damn thing either. If people can't blow off steam on a message board after a bad loss, when/where can they?
  23. This is the dumbest argument in the history of arguments. Littrell gets paid a lot of money. Recruiting is part of the job. I don't care if it's easy or hard. To be a successful college coach you have to recruit well. Period. You want some fan to get on the phone and recruit as opposed to the guys getting paid six-figures to do it? You want him to draw up the damn game plan too? If any coach or administrator in a competitive business doesn't think it's fair to be based on wins or losses, I've got a solution for him/her. Get in another line of work. The only thing worse than kneejerk overreactions is absolute cluelessness. And suggesting a fan write up a script for a FBS coach to use for recruiting is the pinnacle of cluelessness. Although the look on Littrell's face when Ben handed him the piece of paper would be damn priceless.
  24. The culture argument is dumb. I'm not sure how a fan who paid money to go see us on the road and is yucking it up has anything to do with a kid who can't catch a punt. Or why that fan is the problem. We're losing, it's frustrating and I get people want to point fingers at different things. But our problems over the past fifteen years (25 years?) have been leadership, coaching, and recruiting. And the bad decisions those in charge have made in those areas. Period. As far as yucking it up. When Trilli was here all we did was shoot the breeze during the games. Hard to stand up and cheer when you're immediately down double digits. I'm only speaking for myself but I never thought I was the problem. I kinda assumed Helwig and Trilli were the main problems. Who knew?
