  1. There were at least four plays in that USM game that if they had gone the other way, we probably would've lost. Having said that, fighting back to win that game showed me this team was different.
  2. ESPN3 was dogshit last year. I would miss whole halves of games. It's a small sample size but I watch MLS and other things on ESPN+ and so far no problems. But I agree with another poster. Find one platform and put a majority of it on there. To me, BEIN and Facebook are a waste of time. But that's me.
  3. I'm just curious. Troy beat an LSU team that is waayyy better than the Ark team we are playing next year. It got them a lot of pub and then a New Orleans Bowl appearance. They finished 98th in last year's recruiting rankings behind some other Sun Belt teams including Ark State and Ga State. I guess I don't know what is meant by signature win.
  4. I don't know if any of those are signature wins. Beating a lousy Arkansas team sounds good but if it happens when they are down and we go 8-4, not sure it does much. Does beating Cal or Tech really move the needle? I'm not sure beating a P5 moves the needle nationally unless they are ranked.
  5. It's always been a lazy argument and obviously continues to be.
  6. If gets 5,000 yards then I doubt we have a great season. Probably means we were behind a lot. If he had similar stats to last year with an uptick in completion percentage and a downtick in INTs, we'll be just fine.
  7. They have a tough schedule but give me FIU and the over.
  8. Booger was amazing and probably the most dominant player at NT I've seen but he also had a great LB corps and pretty good secondary behind him. A dominant English makes us better, but the back seven have to step up to get this team to another level.
  9. Give me South AL +10 at home.
  10. A sellout and victory versus an SEC team are both in the "I'll believe it when I see it" category. Hoping like hell for both, though. In my 25 years of fandom, I can only think of one P5 victory on the road.
  11. I have to ask...the over-enthusiastic sideline reporter reading off facebook posts didn't make you want to jump out your window? Asking for a friend.
  12. That year's home schedule leaves a little to be desired but overall I'm fine with WB's scheduling. Would've loved one more trip to West Point but I'll make up for it with a trip to Berkeley.
  13. I'd read that list. At least it would be entertaining and a fun read.
  14. Wonder if ESPN+ might be in the mix. Lord knows they need content.
  15. 2021 ain't so hot.
  16. Downvote away. There's nothing more mailing it in than a five things list.
  17. I can handle a whole offseason of this because for the first time in....(so long I can't remember) we have a playmaker at quarterback returning.
  18. I want to add that the throw on the third play(?) of the drive that ended up caught out of bounds is a ridiculous throw. Moving left and throwing it thirty yards downfield where only his guy can get it. Out of bounds and forgotten to history but that's a sick pass.
  19. Both had big runs versus Tech that helped us win those games.
  20. Would have to think a while for my Rushmore but I'll say this. Every single password and code in my life has the number 34 in it. I know JaQuay Wilburn wasn't our greatest running back, but that dude is so underrated and was fun to watch.
  21. He doesn't know sports. His opinion pieces (when there actually is one) are awful. He's not a horrible writer in the sense he can put words and sentences together but there's nothing insightful in his writing. He gets scooped by people on the board 90% of the time. When I lived in Bozeman the coverage of the FCS Bobcats was light years ahead. Night and day. The only thing I give credit to Vito is he's had to sit through and write about a lot of bad UNT sports and that would wear down anybody. You can only shine up a pig so much. But then again, it would've been nice to have him shine a light on how and why NT sports was so bad. Instead, he wanted to stay in Denton so he just kept writing his bland, beat writer pieces. I don't have anything against the guy, but he's a mediocre writer with no background in sports. He writes about NT like someone would write about gardening. It's time for a fresh voice.
